And do not judge magic based villiany off of what Smallville has done. They messed it up. But if done right, it would be interesting.

I don't even watch Smallville; Superman weak against magic point blank. Its the only thing besides kryptonite that can damage him, putting him up against a major magical villain when he can't call on someone like Dr. Fate or Zatanna makes no sense.

Good thing I read your post above because I was about to say WTF, with as many villains as superman has neron wouldnt be needed to change the idea. And if people hated the christ parallels, trust me, neron as a villain would be basically a story from the bible. Some food for thought.

If the Eradicator were used as a villain, I would want it's history rewritten a bit. Most likely, a movie interpretation of Krypton would be nothing like Byrne's, who had Kryptonians genetically bonded to the planet. Instead of having the Eradicator as this ancient device created by aliens other than Kryptonians, it would be a device created by Jor-El himself, intended to preserve Krypton's history, culture, and knowledge, and to offer some sortof protection and guidance to Kal-El. Much later on, after he becomes Superman, the device would be stolen by a villain, most likely Lex, and become the Eradicator due to his tampering.

I'd rather the villain have a seperate origin than Superman. Meaning someone powerful, but not another kryptonian.

Thats basically what I was saying. The Joker having henchmen is fine. The Joker being a henchmen is not. Thats what I meant.

I dont think it would ever be like that. But I think Luthor isnt above the art of suggestion. He controls but doesnt command if that makes sense. Although that wont be the case either for Brainiac. Brainiac is fine by himself. Metallo and Bizarro would and could definitely succumb to Luthors plan whether they know it or not.

I agree with you on the messed up clone version of Bizzaro.

The backwards talking version from the comics would be too hard for the mass audience to follow.

If they want to use Bizzaro, I suggest the STAS version as a template.

I am so sick of Lex Luthor. He hurts the films because everyone is tired of him. I would like to see Atlas or Doomsday. I know he's not a villain but Krypto would be nice to see too.

The solution is to have Luthor be responsible for creating the villain or bringing him to Earth and then move him to the background while Supes fights the new threat.

There's noway i'd start with a guy like Doomsday or Atlas or even Darksied. You gotta set up the world that Supes is living in before you start bringing in the big guns. That means you start with Lex and work your way up. Guys like Metallo or Parasite? Perfect for the first one. Villains powerful enough to hurt, and even kill Superman, but whose motivations aren't strong enough to hold an entire movie on their own. Throw in Lex, and he makes them work. (And by Lex I mean a good well balanced Lex. Not crap ass insurance grab Lex.) Then Brainy, then guys like Doomsy or Darksied. (F**k Atlas, whose horrible idea was that?).

Personally, I think you need Lex. He's just as important a character to the mythos as Lois or Jimmy. He's a must. Now his involvement in the story however should vary. Actually being forced to work with Superman when facing off against Braniac or Darksied.

I don't know about Darksied he's one of my Favs but he's too much like a GI Jooe or He-man villian and It would be hard to explain him to nonfans
