I don't know about a sequel just yet, but Branaiac or Eradicator should be the choice for the reboot origin flick coming out soon.

if WB has an IQ of 10 they will do brainiac. more then 50% superman fans wouldnt have a problem if he is the villain. with a good designe you can make it interesting for the general public and you can also have good action.

I liked Brainiac, until the Internet wore him out. Since now I'm sick of Brainiac, without even seeing him in a movie, I'd rather have Mongul or the Eradicator.

Though, realistically, I'd expect Brainiac.

The more I sit and think, the more Eradicator really would be amazing as an origin villian. But so would Braniac. But Eradicator does not get enough word of mouth.

I still think, if it came down to me, I would use the Animated Series/LSoK version of Braniac and adapt that to a movie, and use both Braniac in his mechanical form and feature Braniac disguised as Jor-El to play with Supes mind.

But I would play around with Eradicator.

Now I like that idea, and Brainiac beem as tricky as he is could be using Luthors armour and his fight with Superman to distract from his ultimate plan, or something. Good idea mate

I'm in the Brainiac camp as well. I really find Zod as the most interesting character, but this isn't the time to revisit the past.

Maybe I'm basing this more off of the process of elimination with the other two heavyweights. Darkseid isn't even a specific Superman villain, so there would need to be a lot of alterations to the character for that to work (not that it's a negative thing, just more of a challenge). Doomsday would be a waste of a "reintroduction." The "Death" story doesn't need to be forced into one movie. I really dislike the story in general, but squeezing it would be the worst way to present one of the most notable events in Superman's timeline.

I'd love to see it open with Supes already in the middle of a fight with a throw away villain like Metallo for instance. You could have Metallo being sent by Luthor in yet another failed attempt by Lex at killing Superman. Metallo loses after about a 5 minute tussel. A few cars thrown, a few punches, etc.


Lex is furious, yet again

Then Brainiac arrives. He detected the F.O.S., and the kryptonarian tech it contains, from space. He concludes that Lex is the most intelligent human on the planet, and he also has a hatred for Kryptonarians as well. He makes contact with Lex.

Brainiac would be just as strong as Superman, if not more so.


You could show flashback scenes of Krypton when Brainiac explains to Lex where he came from. Brainiac would have been Krypton's super computer and protector, untill he went rogue. You could go back and show hundreds of yrs of Kryptonarian history, all up to the point that Jor-el launched little Kal-el into space.

that would suck to just have metallo as a throwaway villain. Written in the right way he could be a serious threat for a whole film.

I'm kinda sick of the whole kryptonite thing. I wouldnt want it used again as the main purpose of fighting or beating supes.
Better to just have Metallo for a few mins IMHO.

i see your point but taking a character who could be a major player to reduce him to a few min throwaway villain would suck for her fans, like what people said about venom in spiderman 3. Though speaking of throway villains man it would have been great to see some of those b/c list villains of spidey make in in the 3 films like during those montage scenes.

It doesnt have to be Metallo. He was just an example. You could have intetergang, or Solomon Grundy (< I know, I know), or even Bizarro. Just have something to start it off with a bang ya know.
