PAX West 2017 is just a few weeks away and Nintendo is set to have a presence at the event. According to PAX West’s schedule, which was revealed recently, Nintendo will be holding a “special” panel. The panel will be held in the Hydra Theater on September 2nd between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, and what will be shown at the panel is unknown. As of right now, the panel is only described as “A special Nintendo panel at PAX West 2017!”

This leaves a lot to be speculated about what could be featured at the panel, since Nintendo has quite a few titles lined up for the rest of this year, including Metroid: Samus Returns, Super Mario Odyssey, and more.

Platinum needs to get off their asses and announce whatever they are working on.

Inti Creates has announced Dragon: Marked for Death, a new dark fantasy-style action RPG coming to Switch via the Nintendo eShop this winter.
Dragon: Marked for Death can be played solo or together with up to three other players in local or online multiplayer. Its development team consists of many of the prominent staff members that worked on the Mega Man Zero series.

Here’s an overview of the game, via Inti Creates:
About
Dragon: Marked for Death is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG game where up to 4 players can play together in either local multiplayer or online multiplayer. Refreshing, feel-good level designs based around intuitive 2D action-based gameplay await!
Key Features

 • Play through the game as one of four Dragonkin characters! – The characters, known as the Dragonkin, have forged a pact with dragons which granted them special new powers. You can choose any one of the Princess, Warrior, Shinobi, or Witch characters to play as.
 • Each playable character has different strengths and abilities! – The Princess is a well-balanced DPS character, the Warrior is a Tank class character that protects the party with his high defense, the Shinobi is DPS that places emphasis on movement on tricky attacks, and the Witch can both heal her allies and damage her enemies.
 • A fascinating and immersive dark fantasy world! – Carefully drawn pixel art from some of the industry’s best pixelmancers paints the entire picture and brings players right into the dark fantasy setting.
Exclusive Features

 • Work together with your companions to progress through stages! – In Dragon: Marked for Death, working together with your companions opens up a whole new realm of possibilities when it comes to defeating enemies and traversing stages.
 • Battle against gargantuan bosses! – Absolutely gigantic bosses that are bigger than the entire screen await our heroes. Work together with your comrades to take down these larger than life baddies!
 • Dozens and dozens of hours worth of gameplay! – Make no mistake, Dragon: Marked for Death is a massive game for its genre. With single stages that span 200 tp 400 screens, over 30 main quests, and tons of side quests to tackle, players have tons of playtime to look forward to!

So, it looks like some games are going to require extra memory. Not that surprising, as I would not expect a lot of the third parties to put the work in to fit as much as possible on the cards. Or they are cheap.

On the plus side, they will be clearly labeled.

Nicalis teases five new Switch ports, including Code of Princess and VVVVVV [Update]
Published 18 hours ago. 24 comments.
Can you figure out the remaining titles?

Nicalis has posted an image on Twitter teasing five new ports in development for Switch.

The five ports are blurry compared to the announced titles in the image. We have been able to determine the last three to be VVVVVV by Terry Cavanagh, Code of Princess by Studio Saizensen, and 1001 Spikes by Nicalis. (Though, Nicalis announced 1001 Spikes for Switch a while ago, so we are not sure why it is blurred.) The first two new titles remain to be determined.
Thanks, NeoGAF.

Update: The game in the top right appears to be Knight Terrors by FreakZone Games.

LA Noire is an odd game to be ported over, but variety is the spice of life. I think a lot of people, myself included, would have rather seen Rockstar port over GTA5.

Litmus test, perhaps? Use LA Noire to see the demand for a Rockstar game and then port GTA?

The Switch will have an interesting library in a few years. A lot of odd choices coming it's way.

I'm just waiting for whatever Platinum is working on.

Used some store credit and snagged a copy of Mario + Rabbids for dirt cheap. I'm surprised by this game. It's got a lot more charm and much deeper gameplay then I thought it would. I'm enjoying it.

Excellent. The game is a huge surprise, and is wonderful.

Loved the cinematic after you beat the World 1 boss...

The game shouldn't work as well as it does. It's an idiotic pairing, but the core gameplay is so solid that it ends up being fun.
