I'm not [too] confused about what's going on, I just think it's dumb. I mean...we knew for months and months -- from before this entire series even started, in fact -- that it was all going to end with an "It was all a dream!!" scenario, and I guess I was kinda hoping that having prior knowledge months in advance would help to lessen the dumbness of it all...but no, it's pretty much as dumb as I thought it was going to be.
Um,.. no you didn't. You thought that it may end up as a dream, but you didn't know for sure... and thus far it hasn't ended in a dream. In order for it to be a dream it would have to have never happened and no one would remember it and it would have no repercussions. This did happen and is in 616 continuity, this will be remembered by a few and potentially more, and it will have repercussions of actually happening. I've also heard a hundred other theories that everyone clung to and would have claimed to have always believed if they would have happened. In truth, I think most people just look for someone else's idea, then run around like it was theirs if it turns out correct. And yes, we knew the House of M was going to go back to normal 616, but to say that it is lame that it had? Well that's just stupid... would you rather things have stayed House of M? And I know, some will say that they wish House of M would never have happened, then don't read it,.. and move on to the next storyline. If you don't want to read it,.. then don't. And if you aren't,.. then you have no right to complain about it. If you get on a message board where tons of theories are thrown out there, then get upset that one of them come true,.. then don't come to the message board, or read the theories. Because no matter how good the mystery or story is,.. someone can guess it,.. and it seems that everyone always claims to have been that person after it's been revealed.

No, we complain because things like Wanda's kids and Gwen Stacey have BEEN DEALT WITH BEFORE.
So you're upset that the story isn't completely original?
Neither is Age of Apocalypse, Neither is Jenkin's Sentry story, Neither are pretty much every story made over the past 20 years. Alan Moore's cult "Miracle Man" isn't even original in the slightest. Comics are a long running story, and with stuff that's had the biggest impacts,.. you know that it will be revisited. I don't know of a single original story that I've read in 15 or 20 years, none that would be labled as great anyhow. The only ones that may be unique are ones that can touch on touchy topics that couldn't be told until recently,.. and most of those I find to be trash myself.... but you don't see me going to forums about "Preacher" and just dogging it left and right to everyone that'll hear me. No,.. because I know people like it,.. and I want them to enjoy their comic. Anyhow,.. the only thing that I'd say House of M is really rehashing overly is something like the AoA,.. but the AoA had been done a thousand times before as well (in single issue stories called "What If", or Apocalyptic futures like in "Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix" or "Days of Future's Past"),.. but yet,.. the AoA is counted as one of the great works of the X-Men's recent years. The Hulk's Future Imperfect story is counted as being great, god know how many "Vs Evil Self" stories have been done before, or dark futures. You show me a completely unique and original story and I'll shake you hand my friend. (or at least offer an apology)
