Um, that's exactly what they are doing
I know. I just can't wait to never use any of these exciting social interactions.

t:Did you ever use them before? You can still continue to just ignore them. I never bothered with the FB or YT integration. I do like that there is a dedicated button to taking screenshots and recording video now though bc it beats trying to capture something on my phoneI know. lol yeah. I don't give a crap about being able to play my game on my tablet or having facebook/twitter. The whole social media craze with gaming lately annoys me.They can take all this social interaction and shove it where the sun don't shine. Just give me some good games.
Same here. Youtube and Netflix are the only other things that I would use if I weren't play games on my PS3. All that other stuff just doesn't appeal to me.lol yeah. Youtube and Netflix are the only two apps I use. Sharing clips on youtube will be cool, but I don't care about the other stuff.
The thing is I don't see what the argument here. It isn't implemented into gameplay and you can ignore it if you choose. You don't have to use Youtube, Facebook or Twitter in order to enjoy your games and that's not going to be a required functionality in order to access them. All this social media stuff is an extra and a way to extend your gaming experience beyond simply the game, but its all optional. This is something being done on the backend and integrated into the system's firmware. Its not like developers are going to be wasting time focusing on implementing and thinking of creative ways to put that in their games. That was the case this gen with the PS3 as this type of stuff came later in its life cycle, but its going to be ready to go for every PS4 title with minimal work from the developer.I don't mind the inclusion of it because of that, but I don't like how the focus is placed more on that. Bad enough we have multiplayer being forced into a lot of games nowadays, but to see big chunks of time centered around sharing upsets me because I simply don't care about that aspect, especially since whatever cool use it might have will most likely be misused by people in the same way that you have to deal with little 12-year old talking crap in Call of Duty.
I'm looking back at PS4's specs and noticed it's 8 GB of memory!?,My PS3 slim has 150 GB and so how/why is PS4 just 8 GB at launch?
