I think I've more or less made up my mind to go with Sony come November, at least at Launch. I'll wait until Halo 5 comes out before getting the new Xbox.

I expect Sony to have the games I want out the gate. Bungie's giving them exclusive stuff with Destiny (my must have next gen game...) and the whole Blizzard thing still has me pumped.

$399. I never heard anything about $599 and I honestly dont think Sony would dare release a model that high this time

Given the problems with the PS3's launch price, and what it did to the PS3 early on, Sony won't put out another $600 model. Even if it's an all the bells and whistle's one. I think Havok's right, $399 lower end model. They'll probably put out a $450-$500 high end one too.

At the very least, they seemed to have corrected several other problems with the PS3. They've reportedly made the PS4 easier to code for, and they definitely fixed the RAM problem. So I doubt they overlooked one of the biggest in pricing. Now if they can just steer clear of talking about dealing massive damage to crabs, and keep Kaz away from the mic when they show off another Ridge Racer, they should be fine.

I expect $399 for the basic version and $499 for premium. Also expect $499 for the premium version of the next Xbox.

Count on it being timed exclusive. It'll be content available to Microsoft after some months, maybe a year.

Exclusivity from 3rd-parties is a dwindling rarity.

Yes. More than 40,000 yen. That translates to roughly "more than $400" at today's exchange rate.

Alas, a representative from Sony's American division has confirmed to Kotaku that this isn’t an official clip, saying that it wasn't produced or released by them. We’re all going to have to wait a while longer to finally see what the PS4’s body looks like.
