Yeah, best place for it. I don't need to play indies on the big screen with the sound system and I don't need to play the top AAA stuff on a small screen. Best of both worlds this way.I think the indie stuff was really more important for the Vita, than the PS4. Original reports said Gamescom would have a heavy focus on the Vita and that's what happened. It shows Sony is behind it and pushing new original titles for it. Personally, I think Id prefer those smaller scale titles on a handheld than on my PS4 so if I were to get a Vita, that would be the place Id play them. Im not a big fan of playing a retail like experience like God of War for example on a handheld so the indie stuff is very welcomed.
"PS4 will have hUMA wich means that you no longer need a distinction between CPU partition and GPU partition. Both processors can use the same pieces of data at the same time. You don't need to copy stuff and this allows for completely new algorithms that utilize CPU and GPU at the same time. This is interesting since a GPU is very strong, but extremely dumb. A CPU is extremely smart, but very weak. Since you can utilize both processors at the same time for a single task you have a system that is extremely smart and extremely strong at the same time."
i'm holding off on pre-orders for now...waiting to see if any interesting bundles pop up as it gets closer
They mentioned this during the Gamescom and confirmed that PS4 will have custom soundtracks. Theres confusion though bc they revealed it when talking about Music Unlimited, so not clear if you will need to be a subscriber to that and use that catalog for the feature. I hope notWill the PS4 play more custom music for games like the 360?,Not many games allow it and I want to be listening to my own tracks off&online for games like Battlefield/Call of Duty/DC Universe/WWE games/Destiny and when or IF there's ever a GTA V port
Why don't you just stream your library from your PC to your PS3? Its simple enough. If you cant do that, you can always drag your music files onto your iPod and then plug it into your PS3 to play or transfer. It's such a shame the ps4 or Xbox can't synch with your iPod or phone and get all your music from that. It's such a pest to save all the CDs to your gamin device.
Of course, you can always just have your iPod/phone next to you while you play
I use my own music mainly with the Need for Speed & Skate games, I even remember using it with Batman Arkham City at times when doing the challenge modes or just gliding around the city. A bunch of other games as well. Recently, Sleeping Dogs had it which was awesome since it's a sandbox game and there's so much to do in it and I could have my own music playing in the game even when on foot.I don't think I've ever played a game with custom sound tracks. Maybe Burnout Paradise.
