does the DS4 work with all PS3 games?
Naughty Dog stated on Reddit that "You will be in awe when you play our PS4 game."
That's one of the games I wanted to try out the DS4 with right away since I won't be getting the PS4 anytime soon. Personally, I've never had any issues with the DS3 and never touched an X-Box controller, so I don't know what I'm missing out on, but seeing some videos and photos of the changes to the trigger buttons, I'm really eager to test it out.Decided to pick up a DS4 myself. Feels really nice. The shoulder/trigger buttons are smaller than I thought they would be, but the triggers feel great.
I'm in the process of playing Borderlands 2 again, so I'm going to break this bad boy in with some of that. Tried it briefly and it feels great.
Nope, but people have been compiling lists of what does and doesn't work. The most glaring game that does not work, imo, is GTAV.
Here's one of the lists.
The PS Button doesn't work at all, it doesn't work wirelessly, and it also doesn't rumble.
After messing around with the DS4, I can say this thing isn't built for fighting games. I tried it with Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. It works but feels off; like wasn't comfortable using that for the typical fighting game inputs. The spacing of the buttons and D-PAD is further apart and the analog sticks are pretty much ineffective. I much preferred the DS3 as it feels more responsive and being less bulky made it easier to hold for all those quick inputs and combos. I was planning on getting Injustice Ultimate Edition for the PS4, but now rethinking that. Im really hoping the game recognizes the DS3, if you plug it in. If not, if there's no significant improvement to visuals, I just may get it for the PS3
It's not just lag. It doesn't feel comfortable for a fighter and part of that, I tribute to the new size and spacing of buttons. Making the d-pad and face buttons further apart was subtle but makes a difference here. The controller is definitely an improvement for shooters and racers but I don't feel as if that will translate well to all other genresWell there may be lag, or tweaking that playing an actual game on the PS4 that was designed for the DS4 and not the DS3 would be different. That's why I'm not really ever going to use my DS4 for the PS3 the games there were made for that, and tweaked for that alone.
the DS4 is a bit bigger and heavier than the DS3, right?

Definitely feels bigger/wider straightaway, which for me was a big plus. As for heavier I think so but this is going off memory from about a month ago and it could just be in my head. Sturdier for sure.it is bigger.
but does it feel heavier/sturdier in your hands.?
one thing I didn't really like with the DS3 was that it was too light.
