I don't think there's any debate at all that the cross gens are ports. No one has come out to say that they've developed both versions from scratch.

Of the cross gen games I've seen, none of them looked all that much better on the next gen hardware than the current gen. Only MGSV impressed me, but even then, it was just a good looking game in general despite the hardware.

Well I've seen clips of Need for Speed Rivals and it is leaps and bounds better than the ps3 version. Also the new MLB 14 the Show I read was infinitely better than last years but of course that isn't a port it's true next gen and ps4 exclusive so you would expect it to be as good as it is

I was originally thinking about buying Destiny whenever it released, but after watching some gameplay, I'm disappointed. Calling it generic would be an understatement. To be fair, it was a multiplayer video, so I'll withhold total judgment until I see more of the campaign. I'm not optimistic though.

Share Factory is great but pretty confusing,hard to master it but will play around with it more later.

I've only seen ACIV videos, but I wasn't impressed by those differences. Of course, seeing it in action and in stills is different.

That SHAREfactory app is pretty awesome, you can even transfer your own music onto the system through USB (so that's a start with MP3 support )

Check out my first video I made with it, nothing too special but it was a quick moment I enjoyed and saved from inFamous a while ago I like that you can choose what type of intros you want to the video too which is really cool.I can see myself having some fun with this app, it's pretty simple to use and I think I've noticed a few little quirks that I'm sure can be smoothed out in later updates so cool beans.

It's THE reason I jumped into next gen so quick (yeah it's on old gen, but screw that) it looks beautiful and it's a Bungie game so you can guarantee it's going to be stellar. I'll probably get more gameplay time out if that than anything else.. For a long time.

To me, the shooter elements are very bland. The guns don't look like they have any 'kick', and from what I've seen, they aren't original in their design or function. Haha I thought that may be in a step in the right direction for what you wanted. What I'm pissed about is with the PS3 any microsft computer that was set up on WiFi you could watch movies from and now I can't even bring the movies via USB?! Granted I haven't tried since the firmware update so I will let you know if it is successful when I try it but at the current moment I am indisposed

I updated my system, and still no USB memory support.

The only USB support right now is for the Share/Capture videos in transferring to a USB stick.

You can also count in being able to transfer MP3s through USB to the ShareFactory app when creating your own videos with custom music.

IMHO there's no worse gaming website on the planet than Kotaku. They write nothing but troll pieces anymore and I swear they try to be edgy and hip. At this point don't even like typing out their name.

They'll complain about Destiny now because people are excited about it. After it releases they'll give it one if the lower scores.. A few years from now when Destiny 2 hits they'll pull revisionist history and act like they always liked Destiny and that no way can 2 live up to the greatness of the first.

A lot of gaming news places played Destiny. The same 45 mins.. Kotaku was like the only negative write up.

But can you play Destiny offline at all? Do you always have to be connected to the internet like a MMO?

Always have to be connected because the game is always updating/changing. It has a campaign tho that you could completely solo if that's all you wanted from the game.

Always online thing isn't much of an issue for me. If I have a console turned on.. It's connected. I however have no desire to solo this game. I'm treating this as an mmo.. Even tho it's not technically an MMO.

• Additional option in the Share button menu to share songs while in the updated Music Unlimited app
• Capture Gallery shortcut/app has been added to the content area. You can use it to view screenshots and video clips that you saved
• USB export option for captured gameplay (USB 2.0&3.0, FAT32&exFAT formated devices, but some don't work either way)

• You can test&adjust your Microphone input volume (Device settings)
• Audio Mixer for Party Chat: You can manually adjust priority of party versus system audio
• When the PS4 crashes you can now choose to attach a video clip in the feedback
• Option to enable sending in the crash reports automatically.
• You can now e.g. force the PS4 to output 5.1 channel audio over HDMI even if it detects 7.1 channel support. (set primary audio output to HDMI or optical, then mark the desired audio formats)

UI/Input:

• You can now sort Trophies by rarity in the Options menu

• Switch user option, allows multi user login with a single DS4.
• DS4 touchpad can be used to navigate the on-screen keyboard at any time
• Slightly modified on-screen keyboard and a L2 + Triangle shortcut to switch to the extra characters list
• The controller rumbles slightly when you switch to GYRO pointing input for the on-screen keyboard now.
• More voice commands are added to launch the apps installed on your PS4 with the sound of your voice (Netflix, IGN app, Internet Browser, Sharefactory, Vidzone, BBC iplayer etc.)

Changes/fixes:

• No more log in screen when reconnecting the DS4 (even when switching controllers after one has been turned off)
• Opening the Share menu doesn't automatically save anything anymore. Upload or save videos/screenshots for each capture (apparently saving the last 15 minutes can still be bugged, but the way how seems to have changed due to this)
• Pressing X on screenshots/videos will now open them in preview mode, viewing screenshots has been fixed and it doesn't crash/black screen anymore
• While a game is running, the option menu in the OS has "Close Application" and "Delete" far apart now.
• Scrolling quickly through long friend lists has been fixed
• The black crush has been fixed when recording gameplay videos
• [Share Settings] > [Video Clip Settings] > [Indicate Blocked Scenes for Video Recording] is now turned on by default.
• [Stop Broadcasting] is now under [Broadcast Settings]
• [Login Settings] and [Initialization] > [Delete User] are now under the newly added [Users].
• Update History entry is now always at the top (except when selecting a disk-based game). Also has better formating
