About the let a friend take over your game feature, I may not personally get it, but I'm sure it'll be a popular feature. Not long ago Game Informer had an article showing the percentage of people who got x amount of trophies, played more than 10 minutes in a game, ect. It was a pretty surprising read given that in a few AAA games, there were drops of like 40% of players giving up playing the game completely after 10-20 minutes in.
The reason I think all of that is connected is, if half the players give up that easy, imagine what happens when they face a tough boss. The option for a gamer who is only half into a game to pass off and let another player take over will increase the amount of people who continue to play rather than return, or sell the game off. Plus the "Let's Play" youtube series is pretty popular too, which is basically 100's of thousands of people watching someone else play an entire game. So I'm sure there will be people who pass entire levels of a game off to someone else just so they can set back and watch, or younger kids who don't have the coordination or patience to beat certain bosses who want to keep playing but are struggling.
The reason I say I don't personally get it is because I get games to actually play them. Things like paying $5-10 for a DLC that immediately levels you to max, unlock everything, or gives you a ton of in game cash (which I've seen a few games do now), always confused me as part of the fun of things like RPG's to me is the leveling, or fighting through and finding a rare item. There's a lot of people who don't agree with me on that though obviously, and love these kinds of things.
