The Official PS4 Thread - Part 5

I get at least 8 hours with my DS4 and a lot of times I will do some pretty long gaming sessions. I bought an extra one though and usually try to have it charged so when one goes out I just switch to the other one. There has been one time where I went through 2 controllers but one of them wasn't fully charged

:funny: I've never had a DS4 die on me yet during playing but then again, my sessions usually aren't any longer than 2-3 hours and if I go back to playing I tend to switch to PS3.

Major problem here! My PS4 won't take movies anymore. I start to stick them in but it won't grab them. I'm guessing I need to replace the driver or something. Anyone else have this problem?

It only won't take movies? What about games? That's really weird. I figured most blu-ray games and movies are the same type of disc.

man....that doesn't sound good. :(

but I've never had that problem.

Just came across this that's helped several people, maybe it'll help you if you haven't solved it already.
Here is how I fixed it. Turn off PS4 completely. Unplug the Power cord. Touch the Power button several times until it beeps (static electricity?!)

Power on and voala! Works again.

I came across that a few hours ago and it works! :woot:

Great to hear, that's really weird though, I don't understand why that would fix it :funny:

A small part of me wants to have that issue now :funny: Can you tell me what movie your PS4 wasn't accepting? :hehe:

I tried a movie(X-men First Class) as well as a game(AC4) and nothing. After you hear the second beep and your system turns on it will ask you to do a safe update. Thankfully it worked.

Super annoyed that the PS Store is down for maintenance on the day Watch Dogs is out. :/

It seems to be PSN as a whole.. Unless Uplay is down as well.. Which you know, is highly possible since it's Uplay.

So with the delay of The Order, which could be seen from a mile off, what exactly do Sony have for the end of this year now?

Isn't Drive Club still coming? Other than that I think just third party stuff like Destiny, COD, and Assassin's Creed.

When they first showed The Order at last year's E3 my feeling was just meh but from what I've read from a preview and the new screenshots it does interest me quite a bit

Ah man thats a shame :( Was looking forward to playing it this year. I hope they use the extra time to improve the game

yeah its ridiculous. I barely touch my PS4 bc of the lack of games. Im sure that will change today with Watch Dogs, but Ive spent like 80% of my gaming this year with my PS3. Cant even turn on the PS4 for media functionality bc its lacking in that department too. Oh well, at least I still have my PS3

Personally I don't mind about delays as I have so much to catch up on. Rather all these games come out as intended. Must be frustrating for those who have fully switched to next gen though.

Maybe you shouldn't have purchased a ps4 then until there were more games to your liking released for it. "The lack of games" is a typical thing for the first time a new system is released. Perhaps you could have waited a while to purchase the ps4. That's kind of your own fault then.

Maybe I shouldn't have but I did and I was hoping to have more but it seems a lot of stuff I would be interested in keep getting delayed. Infamous was the my main reason for getting one so early and one of the few that actually came out on schedule

All the PS+ games released for the PS4 have been pretty solid and worth playing.

I'm not really into that stuff. Those small indie stuff don't really hold my interest

I understand this, but there were a few key titles promised for the end of this year that had me thinking, fine I'll go with you. It is now clear they were baiting. Even Infamous, which I really enjoyed, just felt incomplete. Child of Light and Transistor have both been great though.

I think MS is gonna have the Halo HD Collection for their big Fall Exclusive, what is Sony bringing now that The Order: 1886 is delayed.

Has there been any updates on that service that was going to make older games like Uncharted available for PS4?
