Nah, uncharted is years off yet. It's gonna start with inFAMOUS.

well Infamous is the 1st big PS4 exclusive.

and it's releasing the same month as Titanfall.

it will be interesting to see which title sells better.

Titanfall will. It's releasing on 3 platforms and it's a shooter by the "people that brought you COD."

Has inFamous ever been a huge seller? I always got the impression that it did fine but nothing crazy.

I think Infamous: Second Son will probably sell much more then it's previous incarnations. Mainly just due to the fact that in terms of exclusive next gen titles, this is one of the first big ones for the PS4. So I think more will get it because the lack of other titles out right now.

you could also say the same about Titanfall, since the X1's lacking games, too........lol.

Man I just hope that game is awesome.I'm a big Infamous fan.:woot: This game series deserves to sell more hopefully this is the one.

Except I can buy it on the PC (which I will if good) or wait a week for the 360. Infamous is only on one console.

Nah Killzone Shadow Fall was the PS4's first big exclusive. Game may have not been great, but that's a series Sony holds to a high pedestal, more so than Infamous actually. Those games sell more too

I think both of them sold around a million.
According to VGChartz, Infamous 1 did about 2.7M and Infamous 2 did 1.7M

Infamous Second Son is not going to sell more than the past games. The install base for the PS4 is MUCH smaller than the PS3 was when the older games were released. Going by that alone, it just aint happening. It'll likely do well but that number will be relative. It will be interesting to see bc outside of Naughty Dog's games and GT, Sony's exclusive IPs weren't hot sellers on the PS3

I still think losing Final Fantasy Versus.....nay.......XV as an exclusive was a huge blow.

but then......that game may never come out......so who knows.......lol

I don't. FF really isn't as relevant anymore. The last several that came out this past gen really did a lot to damage its reputation with gamers. FF as an exclusive now in 2014 doesn't mean as much as it did back in 2004.

Anyways despite going multiplatform, the FF XIII games sold MUCH better on the PS3 than the 360. The numbers weren't even close. I don't think Sony "needed" exclusivity on that

^ true. but it certainly would have been nice.

say FF XV was truly awesome and redeemed the series from the most recent games.

great reviews and everything. truly a next-gen FF experience.

and it was a PS4 exclusive.

maybe not a system mover, but certainly another strong arrow in the Sony exclusive quiver. something they could have said "Only on PS4."

Titanfall is coming to the 360 too? Hmm, that's news to me.

I was talking about that game to my friend last night in that I think it's the only thing I feel like I'm missing out on with the other guy. But then I just accepted the fact that it's basically another FPS which I have plenty of and while I'm sure it'll be good and innovative perhaps, I'm probably not missing that much. I just hope it's not rated as Game of the Century :funny:

Yes but Infamous does not have a lot to go against, and there is just very few games out there. Though I have no idea if it will sell more I think it will go over 2 million easily. Not right away, but I think for the next 6 months being one of the few next gen exclusive PS4 titles will give it the limelight.

Yep. They delayed it a few weeks after the X1/PC launch (clearly so they could try to sell more X1's) but it is coming out on 360 as well.

can't wait till we get more fighting games.

and not just old standbys like Street Fighter, Tekken, MK, Soul Calibur, etc.

some brand new fighting IPs would be nice, too.

How much did the other 2 games sell?

I have a feeling XV will be all that. But that still won't take it to what FF used to mean. It was pretty much the biggest game series to many people and the one that made many people choose a console. There was no way I wasn't getting a PS4 with FF exclusive to it (although I was always getting it anyway and FF turned out not to be exclusive). There's much more competition in cinematic RPGs now, especially as Western RPGs have improved so much.

Killer Instinct? :woot:

I'm a big fan of fighting games but they take so much to learn properly that I don't want too many new ones. I'd rather just get better at much improved versions of SF, Tekken, MK, SC, MvC, Injustice etc. It seems a waste to learn in all the depth required and get good if they don't turn out to be a longstanding franchise (to me).

How much did the other 2 games sell?

I think around 2 million for each.

Now it's a big "if" Infamous Second Son is a really good game of course. But I think with almost little competition it will do well.

well back when Versus was still a PS3 exclusive, that DID factor in my decision to get a PS3..........look how that turned out........lol.

not saying I regret the decision to get a PS3, but I might have waited perhaps a bit longer. I was just so blown away by that Versus trailer, I thought "Damn!! I need to get a PS3 for that game!" Of course, I was fully expecting it to come within a few years.

as for fighting games, yeah, they do seem to be getting more complicated........lol

I don't really get too deep into them. I just like to pick up and play.

it's more about the character designs and/or story and/or cool moves that draw me in.

I do like the Soul Calibur series now because you can create your own characters, and I always like that.

hopefully, if they make a next-gen Soul game, they can really make the character creator more robust, with more options not just in how you look but also in letting you customize your own fighting style.

Can't believe such a long generation went past and we only got one new poorly received non MMO numbered title plus its sequels! :csad: I really believe XV will save this series though.

As for fighting games I'd get much deeper like I used to if I didn't have so many games to play. Nowadays I've also been more pick up and play and the character designs/story/cool basic moves are enough to keep me interested rather than hard to remember combos and elite competition.

I think Killzone: Shadowfall has sold about 1.5m copies so far so 2m lifetime could be possible. Although does Infamous have any multiplayer? KZ had the advantage of being pretty much the main retail title and had a full MP, albeit on even smaller install base. Looking forward to seeing how good it is in any case.

yeah.......XIII was such a HUGE let down. :csad:

hopefully XV will be the savior the series needs.............if it actually comes out!! :woot: :oldrazz:

pretty sure Infamous doesn't have MP.

If it doesn't come out on time we riot. Ok? :woot:

Yeah, didn't think so. The biggest sellers all seem to have some kind of multiplayer, even if it's secondary like uncharted.
