Hardware wise, it's freaking awesome. The games library does need to build up a bit, but every console is like that during the near-launch period.

Sounds like it's worth the price, then. Should damn well think so, it's like $600 here. And then Arkham Knight is around $100...

Sooo, what's the general consensus on the PS4 here? I'm probably gonna have to cough up the money for one in time for Arkham Knight regardless but it'd be good to know what people (who actually own one) think.

It's an amzing system. Well worth your time. The only thing I liked about the 360 over the PS3 was the controller felt better for me would allow me longer play times whereas my hands would cramp up with the PS3 controller after long gameplay. They have completely fixed this issue for my with the dualshock 4. It is very ergonomic and feels great. The graphics are amazing. Def need more games but that is to be expected in the first year. I would recommend inFamous Second Son and Need for Speed Rivals. Also Watch Dogs looks amazing from what I've seen, I laready bought just have to pick it up at the end of next month

I'd second the recommendation for Infamous: Second Son. It's beautiful to look at and pure joy to play. Also, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Tomb Raider (a great buy if you didn't already have the reboot for your previous console, because the PS4 version is stellar, imo).

Watch Dogs is my next must-buy, too. That looks fantastic.

I really wish we had a YouTube app like the one the X1 has. They can upload game clips to YouTube via the app.

It's supposed to come eventually I believe, but I don't understand why it wasn't ready for launch or by now at least.

You can use YouTube.com/tv as an alternative though on the PS4 browser, works quite well.

I'm glad I got it now. Infamous is awesome, Killzone was great, Lego Marvel runs smoothly, Ground Zeroes is great, and in a month, watchdogs will take a lot of my free time.

Trials games are a pain.. I never got what was so fun about them. They just aggravated the crap out of me. Plus, I really don't think it's worth 20 bucks when every other Trials before it was like 10 or 15.

Yeah, I saw some footage and it does look frustrating. I've never played this series before so I don't know, maybe ill try it once the price drops.

Edit: Just realized I can't trade in because the physical copy is 40 bucks. Ugh.

Trials Fusion is a great game. Yes, the Trials games can be difficult but in a fun/challenging way. I totally recommend it if that kind of game appeals to you.

Uhh, I'd say it's like a puzzle/adventure game, but really you are given task like "mow the lawn" or "win carnival prizes" and have to accomplish them with the unwieldy octopus controls. It's silly fun.

The PS4's free PS+ game for May is Stick It to the Man, which was a game that always looked really interesting to me on the PS3 and I almost bought when it was on sale not long ago.


We're still waiting for Secret Ponchos and Binding of Isaac, since those were announced a long time ago.

I really like that you can download free games as part of PS+.

it gives you a chance to try out games you haven't played yet or were thinking of getting.

like, I've always wanted to try out Borderlands 2 but never got around to it.

thanks to PS+, I finally got to play it.
