You have a PS4 flickchick?
Yep! But I'm still a total gaming newb because it's my first console in 13 years (since my PS2), and to say that was a different time would be a MASSIVE understatement, lol. I haven't gotten into any online-gaming yet (I've always been a single-player kind of gal), largely because I wouldn't be any good at it, haha. But I've gotten about 5 games thus far and enjoyed them all to varying degrees, especially Tomb Raider and ACIV: Black Flag. Infamous was fun but short. Next paycheck I'll probably pick up Watch Dogs. Overall, VERY happy to have a PS4 right now, and when I hear gamers complaining about the lack of content at this point since the console just launched, I get pretty excited because it seems like plenty to me, so the notion that people feel they haven't really gotten off the ground yet is just awesome to me, haha.

But given how much I enjoyed Tomb Raider, I'm absolutely chomping at the bit to play an Uncharted game. That was a primary motivator for me settling on a PS4 vs. an XBOne, knowing that a new Uncharted game was coming and could potentially be a PS exclusive. Well, that and my familiarity with the PS controller from the old days. I was also big into Final Fantasy back in the day and am looking forward to seeing what that franchise is like now (even if I've heard it's gone downhill).

Nice, I only have Battlefield, Fifa 14, and Need for Speed for full games, but in terms of PSN games I have:

Resogun
Don't Starve
Outlast
Stick it to the Man
Flow
Flower
PixelJunk
Mercenary Kings
War Thunder
Dead Nation,
Towerfall,
Sound Shapes

That's a lot of PSN games, more games I've own in the first year of a console than I ever had. I know it's slow, but that's usual for the first year, especially for Sony. This E3 has made me excited for not only the PS4, but for gaming in general as all 3 systems did an great job at showcasing their gaming repertoire for their consoles.

The only PSN game I have right now is Resogun, but I love it.

And yeah, this is my first year ever following E3, but it's seriously gotten me hyped for the games to come. Not just for the next Uncharted, Tomb Raider and AC, but No Man's Sky looks pretty amazing too, and I've never played one of those Arkham Batman games either, so I'm getting pretty hyped for Arkham Knight. And that VR technology has soooo much potential.

I had the funniest reaction to Arkham Knight gameplay. My friend had come over because he couldn't stream the show himself and he had to watch me jump and stand in my chair. :funny:

You should get PS+ Plus. Seven of those games came free because of PS+ with AAA games on the way for free.

Actually, that's almost a perfect example. :funny:

This was me when he hopped into the Batmobile.

LOL, your poor friend. I'm now imagining him as Oprah in this scenario. ;)

What are AAA games? And I remember considering PS+ when I first got my system, but I got the impression that was more for online multi-player gamers than anything else. Do you think it would it be worth the investment for someone who only ever does single-player?

Im upset that E3 has pretty much come and gone and no firmware update. Would have been nice to wakeup one morning to a blog post detailing details about an upcoming update that would add many of the more requested features

Just read an article on Kotaku that Sony estimates 31% of their customers that bought a ps4 had either a 360 or Wii last console cycle. That's a pretty good conversion rate this early in the life cycle

Does Planetside 2 finally have a release date on PS4?

Any of you get into the Destiny Alpha Beta? I got it and am enjoying it. My friend is super pumped about Destiny so he's pretty jealous that I get to try it out :hehe:. I've been busting his balls sending him text messages of screenshots of the main menu and in-game :funny: I don't know much about the game and will need to learn a bit more about how everything works, it seems like it'll be pretty RPG heavy.

He bought a PS4 the day after he chilled at my house to watch E3 after I showed him Killzone and inFamous. He's mostly a Microsoft guy but he's diving into PS4 first and he may get an X1 later on.

His PS4 comes tomorrow and if his Destiny beta isn't waiting for him then I'll let him geek out at my place again :funny:

You're getting back into it at a good time. If you're happy with what's out there now your mind will be blown in a few year's time. The difference in games from the start of last gen to those near the end is ridiculous. This 1st couple of years is really the handover period between generations and many games are still made concurrently for both generations, limiting their potential. After this 1st couple of years we'll start seeing games where the entire process started being conceived after the PS4 gen had started and those will be truly next gen games.

Final Fantasy has been rubbish in the PS3 gen but I'm really excited about FF XV and have a feeling it wil be as good as the old games (and look 2 gens better). Have you seen the trailers? And Uncharted is one of my favourite game series of all. I said in the thread I just rewatched the cutscenes for all 3 games after seeing U4 at E3 to get in the mood and it took more than 4 hours and I started at 4.30am lol. You might want to play (or just watch) those so you know the characters well if you get a chance. And Uncharted should be a permanent PS exclusive as Sony owns the studio who make it.

Sony’s Adam Boyes on the Future of PlayStation

Victor chats with Sony's Adam Boyes to get his take on all the new games they announced at E3 this week, and what they mean for their plans moving forward.

PlayStation's Adam Boyes points the spotlight on diverse games

Adam Boyes connects developers and publishers to PlayStation, making their appearance on the platform as seamless and as fair as possible. There's an attempt to create equal footing for everyone, which is why it's no longer a surprise to see independent games like No Man's Sky and Abzu getting screen time and drawing applause at Sony's E3 presentation.

"The thing I never want to say is, 'You're going to like this, because gaming is such a personal thing," Boyes told me after Sony's E3 presentation. Though he can cast the PlayStation spotlight on games that need a little boost in prominence, highlighting them through the storefront or PlayStation Plus, Boyes prefers not to beat a drum until people care about games outside their comfort zone. "Our whole idea is just, basically, to show you as many different things - and make the judgement for yourself."

That's a very exciting notion indeed.

Yep, I've watched all the Uncharted cutscenes on YouTube already, haha. I absolutely LOVE the characters and overall tone, and frankly, I'd rather watch those again than the last Indiana Jones movie (I say that as a major Indy fan). Especially that 2nd Uncharted. That was a damn good adventure romp, even without the gameplay, so I can only imagine how fun it would have been to play. The teaser for U4 looked incredible (as does the new Tomb Raider teaser, imo). I'm gonna have to get used to the video game production timelines, though, because I'm not used to having to wait almost 2 years for something after I've seen a teaser, lol. Gonna be a bit agonizing, I think.

I've seen a bit of footage from FFXV, and all I can say is it sure looked pretty. And if the story is half as engrossing as FFVII or FFIX, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

The good graces of the video game Gods has granted me access to this weekend's Destiny ALPHA and BF: Hardline BETA. I think I have to focus on Destiny since it's only happening this weekend. How long will the Hardline BETA be available for?

Oh good work on watching them. I think U2 had the best story. The first Tomb Raider was a great reboot for that character, really love this new young Lara. Got to be one of the most likeable protagonists in gaming at the moment and much more to her as a character than the Lara from the original Tomb Raiders. The way to get used to the timelines is to play more games so you have more to look forward to and favourites coming out every month.

I was really hoping for something at E3 on this. :csad: Final Fantasy was at one point my favourite game series with VII & VIII being my favourite games of their time.

I was reading months old rumor articles about the PS4 and one of them that IGN features and mentioned it in their review is that...Digitally Purchased Games require an internet connection to be played..is that true?????

So when I download EA UFC,I won't be able to play it if my internet is down or I can't take it over somewhere where there's no internet??

Maybe that was for Gaikai? I would only have thought streamed PS3 titles would require internet. Other games shouldn't require internet for single player parts once downloaded.

It's not true. People would have a b****ed about relentlessly if it was.

So apparently the Vita PS4 bundle is delayed because... Sony is having trouble figuring out how to fit both into one box. No really.

You have to set your PS4 as your Primary PS4 first, and then there shouldn't be a problem. If you try to access your content on a PS4 that isn't your primary it'll require an internet connection to verify the purchases and what not.
