Oh good work on watching them. I think U2 had the best story. The first Tomb Raider was a great reboot for that character, really love this new young Lara. Got to be one of the most likeable protagonists in gaming at the moment and much more to her as a character than the Lara from the original Tomb Raiders. The way to get used to the timelines is to play more games so you have more to look forward to and favourites coming out every month.
My wallet won't appreciate that strategy very much. :cwink:

I was really hoping for something at E3 on this. :csad: Final Fantasy was at one point my favourite game series with VII & VIII being my favourite games of their time.
I feel like FFVIII gets a lot of hate these days, but I loved it. As much as VII and IX? No, but pretty darn close. The story and universe it was set in was incredibly engrossing to me, and the music...:hrt:

You have to set your PS4 as your Primary PS4 first, and then there shouldn't be a problem. If you try to access your content on a PS4 that isn't your primary it'll require an internet connection to verify the purchases and what not.

Alright cool,I'm pretty sure I did that when I set up my console but where do I check it to be sure?

It's in the settings menu I forget which one exactly but I thought I did it when I set it up and by chance was goofing around in the menus and saw that it wasn't set

I don't know if there's a way to "check."

but, if you go to Settings, then PSN, then Activate as Your Primary PS4, then click Activate to make sure you did activate your PS4.

My plans of going all digital with games is pretty much over now,I downloaded EA UFC and it took about 5 or 6 hours..which is fine since I left it on standy by overnight but I forgot about the damn installing,It's been almost an hour and only 8% has been installed so it's pretty much like the demo with two more fighters since I can't enter any other mode till probably later tonight.

I should have known since there has been a noticeable difference when downloading and installing updates for my f2p games than with discs,I can just imagine the wait time if digitally downloading games like Destiy.

Sorry for the rant but just felt like expressing myself,To install games do I have to have them on or can I go to stand by/turn it back on/start the game and they should be updated more?

FYI, you will be able to download and install a game a week in advance of it's release starting with Destiny. Once it's midnight of the release date, you'll be able to start it right up.

I'm not sure if that will be with every single game, but I know the PS4 will start to do that with Destiny as the first one.

Awesome but what about my question?,IF I completely close down my game and leave the console on stand by for a while then will it still update or do I need to have the game open?

I'm pretty sure once you start downloading/installing a game, you can put the PS4 in standby and the game should continue installing.

whether or not games install slower while the PS4 is in standby, I'm not sure.

also, if you go to the Notifications area, you can check the download progress for whatever you're downloading.

edit: I don't believe you need to have the game "open" either, but I'm not entirely sure. ( I don't normally download full games ).

2nd edit: I did download DCUO in the past, and I know I didn't have to keep that game open for it to download. Once I "bought" it from the PSN Store, it started downloading, and I left the PS4 in standby mode.

It says Update File Installed but it's still doing it when game is on in the menu

I don't understand why anyone would want digital games.

Well, maybe if you have a PS3 Super Slim with a disc drive that makes more noise than a Dreamcast.

often, there's an Update file that downloads and then the actual game download. So 2 separate files downloading.

Have you checked the Notifications area for your Downloads?

It may show the EA UFC Update file bar complete, but the actual game download bar is still going.

Convenience really. Im going all digital for games that dont come with anything extra, content wise with a physical copy. It saves me a trip to the store and with the pre download feature I can be playing my games faster than those who with a physical copy.

Digital pre-orders also come with extras,They're not all gamestop exclusives anymore,With UFC I still got Bruce Lee and all big games like Destiny/COD&Battlefield will have extras too.

It is a convenience and if you miss a game you then you just download it again than track it down,Not like gamestop offers much money for trade ins anyway,Plus the saves are tied to your account if something happens to your console and of course extras are also included

Ah well thats really cool. I wasn't sure if some of those preorder bonuses came with the digital. Yea, outside of collectors editions, I'm mainly going digital. Currently, I own more games digitally on my X1 and PS4 than I do physical. I expect that to continue.

guess I'm old fashioned, I still like to buy the physical discs. lol.

plus, with the disc, you can trade or sell them when you're done.

can't do that with digital.

Yea theres still a large number(the majority really) of users who prefer physical, primarily for the resell ability. But if MS or Sony ever mirror what Steam does with PC, that'll prob change.

I find buying on Amazon to be the easiest personally. It's cheap, it's quick, there are no damn stickers on the box, and I actually own the game.

With digital, it's more like a glorified rental. An overpriced glorified rental.

How is it like a rental when you get games forever in your account?,Just a download while discs you easily get rid of,discs is way more like a rental..$60 or whatever for a few months

Yea iv gone with Amazon for most of my games for the last few years, but I'm not sure ill re up my Prime membership, which is where the savings come into effect. Theres nothing rented about digital games though.

Do Amazon pre-orders arrive in release day?,By mail box or UPS?

It's lasted years for me

Well, honestly, I don't know if I'll be breaking these games out 20 years from now. But I do actually have some games that are 30 years old, which I still play from time to time. I would be surprised if that account still works 10 years from now. I would be amazed if it still works 20 years from now.
