The lightbar is the most pointless addition to the DS4. I love the touchpad, shoulder triggers, speaker and ability to connect your headset to the controller as those actually enhance gameplay, but the lightbar so far hasnt served any significant functionality. The most Ive seen done with it was in KZ, where it would change color to indicate your health (green to yellow to orange to red), but you can just look at the screen which you are already doing for that). I guess if you have a PS Eye you can use it to communicate in games which interact with it, but so far the offerings are pretty slim on that front.

Well the light bar is supposed to be integral for the Morpheus headset and VR aspect that will be coming down the line eventually so I'm betting people that don't like it now will change their tune when that stuff drops. I personally could care less about it. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I have 2 controllers and always keep one fully charged so when the battery dies I just switch to the fresh one

The battery life ain't that bad to me and if I need to charge one then the wire ain't that short or I just charge one of them in stand by

The light bar is a nice little decoration,It's not needed but I don't mind it either

Yeah I don't mind the light bar it makes the controller nice to look at.

My only complaint was the brightness. I'd always see it in the reflection of my tv bit they fixed that problem with the update. Now I just turn the brightness down.

1.) gross residue.
2.) it's not distracting it just drains the battery life something fierce. The ability to dim it does nothing to change that.

1) You could have one of these decals made.

2) I think people tested it by unplugging the light bar and it didn't make that much of a battery life difference.

I've only used my friends' PS4, but I never really noticed the light bar being an issue. I thought it was a neat feature for multiplayer.

Any hardware problems with these next gen beasts?

Well that sucks. I can get the Bluetooth manager to recognize the PS4 controller but when I try to actually synch it an error message keeps popping up. I'm just going to buy a new PS3 controller.

Virtually none for the Xbone, far as I have seen, but it is completely over-designed, hence why it's the size of a VCR and has a monstrous power brick.

The PS4 has had a rather bumpy release. Lot of complaints about loud / defective fans, controllers, and blue lights of deaths.

That seems to be improving though.

Anyone else agree that it's ridiculous that a USED PS3 controller is going for $45?? That's only $10 cheaper than a brand new one. I'm sorry but it should be dropped to around $35.

Can anyone tell me the options for gig space on the PS4, I'm thinking of getting the Destiny bundle pack and couldn't seem to find information about space on it.

Every PS4 comes with a 500gb HDD

Where are you looking? Brand new ones are sold at Amazon for $39. Best Buy currently has them for $40

Like I said the only issue is that it drains the battery super quick. I charge my One controller like once a month... The DS4 needs charged like twice a damn week.

Haha yea I get about six, 9 full inning games of MLB before I have to charge mine. So around 6-8 hours. My One controller easily doubles that.

Other than that, the light hasnt bothered me

Yea that system shouldn't be that loud, you guys saying ur system is loud need to get it checked. That's not normal. It really is a quiet piece of equipment

Nah, I've been reading tons of people with the same problem, it's not serious, just annoying.

My fan just hits full speed at certain points in games and that's what is making the sound. It's not constant but it is loud.

What is everyone's opinions on the F2P games so far,For ones I have..

Blacklight Retribution:At first it was very bug&glitchy but it was a beta,Full game has been updated and everything is much better now,You need to pay to use most unlocks..which sucks but the default stuff are fine too,Overall a decent FPS and especially if you're into COD.

DC Universe Online:Very awesome,I mostly play it just to glide around as my characters and check out other player's characters or do random small side quests like fight npc enemies/transfer stuff/save cops&civilians

Warframe:Some aspects are really cool but something about the game turns me off and makes me not want to play it for a while,Like I get bored or something and even feel like deleting the whole thing

IA. I live in hot FL and used to have that problem with my old fat PS3 all the time but its been a non issue with the PS4. First summer with it and no overheating and loud fan issues. Its pretty quiet
