turning it off and turning it on, actually I don't remember the last time I did but this most recent session I was playing, nothing went wrong. for once, the controller worked fine and no I don't have a paperclip in my dorm. let's see if I can ride this out

I am, but I am not particularly interested in the game, so that's not an issue.

I may hold off until November, might be a good deal in the killing fields of Black Friday.

Having played the best the 8th gen has to offer... I'm not really missing out on anything, yet.

I'm actually interested in Sunset. it's one reason why I'm interested in the X1. It looks crazy and fun. but I don't really want the white console. and I'd rather have a physical copy of the game instead of a download code. not too mention the console is only 500GB.

and yeah.....I'm going to try to hold out till BF or Xmas. hopefully they'll announce a standard 1TB model by then.

if not, I might just wait till next year.

Earlier on this year I was doing split screen cod multiplayer with my friend on Ps4. Now two days ago, I tried doing the same thing, with my account on the top and my friend's on the bottom, but when I tried signing into it.... the ad for PsPlus came up.

...are you ****ing KIDDING ME?! they allow you to do split screen online with 1 PsPlus account FIRST, and then they CHANGE it so that BOTH of us need PsPlus?! That's ridiculous!! That completely eliminates the chance to do split screen online at all! WTF!

You could do split screen with just one profile on Plus to begin with? I know with the Xbox (at least the 360), you couldn't. Both profiles had to have Gold to play online. You could log in one person as a guest on your account, I believe, but if you were trying to sign in with your own tag, everyone doing so had to have Gold.

No, they are. COD lets two people play online from the same system and television. What XB is referring to is that he and his friend go into online multiplayer matches by signing into their profiles together and playing from the same PS4 and doing split screen.

I didn't know you could log into multiple accounts on one system at the same time.

You can with the 360, yeah, and I guess the PS4 since that's what I think XB is saying if I understand correctly. You can get around that by having the second person signing in as a guest (again on the 360, anyway), but you won't get any achievements or be able to load any of your data for your profile obviously.

yeah man for now the controller is working fine, but who knows how long it'll last you know? it's happened to me so many times, I'm surprised it is not a widespread issue, like that analog stick cloth-tearing ****.

yeah. earlier on this year, maybe in the summer, me & my friend were doing split screen, I was on top with plus and he just logged onto his on the bottom. no need for him to have plus.

and back on Ps3, starting with blops, I'm pretty sure the only thing that was offered was 2nd player guest

most of the time this is the case, and in fact I don't think this happened at all on Ps3, it was just 360 last gen; more of the xbox's multiplayer/online features are being adopted to playstation now

no. you can't sign in as a guest anymore for cod ghosts, at least on Ps4. BOTH players need a PsN, and (now) BOTH players have to have plus. **** sony.

no. I'm private and don't really socialize much. So, don't invite any friends over to play. And I rarely go online to play MP.

So.....guess you could say all you Hype posters are my social circle.......lol.

And, yeah, I'm concerned about Thunder, too. I don't want this bad experience to sour him on the PS4. I have a feeling Amazon got a batch of bad White bundles, and Thunder was the unfortunate recipient of 2 bad consoles.

And I think TGS ends tomorrow, the 21st. I figured we'd hear something about Update 2.0.

but, if we don't hear anything by the end of this month, I have a feeling that they'll announce something in October.

of course, the longer Sony takes, the more frustrated I grow, which in turn drives me further towards the X1 ( though they've got to overcome some hurdles, too ).

edit: And I just realized, I'm only 25 posts away from post 10,000!!!

As for the X1, I meant that there are still a few remaining hurdles or issues that need to be "solved" before I'm willing to give the X1 another chance.

1. The hdd issue. As I've said, that was a big dealbreaker for me. Ideally, I'd like to wait for a redesign that makes the hdd easily accessible and replaceable, just like the PS4.

But, if they release a standard 1TB model soon, I'd be willing to settle for that, as I think 1TB would be plenty of space.

2. Since the install times on the X1 seem to take longer than the PS4, I'd like MS to work on that in future updates to shorten the install times. If they can bring down the install times to be roughly the same as the PS4, that would be great.

3. Finally, it seems there are still some stability and performance issues with the X1 UI. don't know how widespread those issues are. but, I'd like to see MS work on that, too.
