Yo so I went to best but with my receipt and ds4, explained the situation to the guy at customer service and he was just like, OK lemme see if I have any white ones in stock.

So he came back with my receipt and a new white ds4 in hand, took the new one out of the box & handed it to me and put my old one back into the packaging...

I didn't have to sign anything or nothing. It was kinda weird. But hey, I got me a new ds4

awesome!! it went smooth just like my X1 return.

now, hope the new DS4 works!

btw.....are you still debating on whether or not you're going to keep Destiny?

I'm debating if I should get it now for the PS4. but, after discussing it in the Destiny thread, I think I'm just going to wait for a BF/XMAS sale where it drops to $40-$50.

Like you, I'm concerned that the emphasis is more on online/MP play vs a solid single player story campaign.

besides, Shadows of Mordor is coming in a few weeks. Then WWE 2K15 in October. Then the big one......the one game I've been waiting for since last year when I got a PS4.........Dragon Age Inquisition in Nov!!

those games will keep my occupied for some time.

word man I don't really care about fps either besides my yearly cod fix. i enjoyed killzone too but mostly just for the multiplayer and graphics. but even that wasn't enough to sway me from playing cod all the time. and i'm not a fan of battlefield either.

Me2 is one of my favorite games of all time... but, seeing how microsoft bought the timed exclusive rights to tomb raider and the close identiy ME has with xbox, what if microsoft buys the timed exclusive rights to ME AGAIN?

that would make me really mad. that, is actually something that would make me want to trade my Ps4 for an xbone.

then again, I ****in hated Me3 (not just for the ending), and it's one reason I'm on the fence about dragon age.

anyways, the other games i'm excited for this year are driveclub & lbp3.

yeah.....and it's curious why the Frozen PS4 isn't the white "glacier" model that the Destiny bundle is.......I mean........hello?? glacier?? frozen?? snow queen??

and yeah, I think it was a mistake on Sony's part to reject ea access. even though I'm not too keen on the service, I think it should have been up to consumers to decide. maybe Sony will reconsider in the future.

well i thought about that too but honestly, wouldn't it make more sense to bundle a limited edition Ps4 with a game instead of a movie?

personally, I think they just wanted an excuse to release a White console, and Destiny ( with all the hype and close partnership with Sony ) was the perfect excuse to do that.

same with MS releasing a White bundle with Sunset Overdrive. doesn't really have anything to do with the game itself, but just an excuse to release a White version of the console.

just curious, is there a max limit to the size of the internal hdd you can upgrade to on the PS4?

a 2 TB hdd is the largest I can find in my local stores.

hell no! Avoid at all costs. They tend to have the highest failure rate among the major brands. They used to be better a decade ago but not anymore. Their prices are among the lowest bc they use low quality material which results in most of the issues associated with them. You would definitely be better off with WD

I think 1 tb would ultimately be sufficient for my needs, and it is more affordable.

Personally, if I was going to replace my HDD, I would do at least 1.5 TB. Its really hard to give advice on this. You'll just have to think about if 1 TB will be enough for you over the life of your PS4 and if not, if you forsee yourself upgrading again. At least for now, 500gb is more than enough for me as I think I still have ~ 286gb free. You just have to be good with managing your space. I think the trouble will come once Plus starts offering retail games on a regular basis. That's where most of my space was eaten up on the PS3

well, the good thing about the PS4 is how fast it is to install the games ( or how fast it is you can start playing the game ).

so, even if you delete games to make room, reinstalling them isn't that much of a chore.

yeah I think you're right. it's not like the destiny logo's on the playstation (i'm glad it ain't) and I think microsoft just followed suit with sony, going with the white console bundle

While I have seen 2 TB hard drives on amazon for like around 100. With ps3 I have the 120 GB and I still to this day have like 36 GB left but I don't have a lot of downloaded games. Now with ps4 because ever game hast to be installed to the hard drive something I really hate I know the 500 GB is not going to last at all. Right now I only have madden 15, mlb 14 the show, NBA 2K14, infamous second son, knack and lego marvel and I don't have any dlc or videos or anything and I am already down to 206 GB left after just 6 games. I am probly going to get drive club this year and I cant weight for batman arkham knight. After that I will probly already be down to like 100 GB already. I don't ever delect my games other then when I go form like nba 2k13 to 14 kind of thing has I still like to go back and play games once in a while that I haven't played in a long time. With the 500 GB I will probly be out of spaces after only like 10 games. That means with a 2TB I could probly get around 40 games on the hard drive not counting DLC. For what it is worth on ps3 I have right around 40 games. So really to be safe and not have to update more then once I probly need a 3TB hard drive and has far has I no there is no 3TB hard drive that works on ps4 yet.

Traditional disk hard drives are continually getting cheaper and cheaper and with the new solid state tech getting more popular the old disk drives will keep dropping in price. Unless you buy everything digitally or store massive amounts of media and music on your drive then a 1TB will be more than enough for a while. If you fill it up then buy a 2TB drive sometime down the road.
