Hey I thought the starter of this thread said to not discuss anything about the movie Rogue b/c of what her finale was. Some of you have not been reading through this entire thread.

Why not? In the latest issue of the X-Men, Rogue was out cold, so at the minute we don't have fodder for a comic discussion. But if Spark wants to stay away from movie Rogue discussions, that's fine. Actually, there is a Rogue movie thread. It's all connected anyhow. They practically threw out the character in the movies. Too bad people who have only seen the movies don't know what us comic fans know, that Rogue is freaking awesome.

It wasn't really an argument about Movie!Rogue. It was a small three post discussion suggesting other actresses we'd like to see play Rogue in our own demented day-dreams.

How about this? Rogue should have sought after Colossus while she had the Ms. Marvel powers. He was the only available teammate who could satisfy her super tough body. Despite the name, "Rogue", I think Piotr fit more into her romantic ideals.

Luckily we know she will grace the cover of 199

The cover of 199 is scary. I wonder what will happen in the issue. I happily await #200. Rogue is an awesome leader. I picked up some back issues with her as team leader and the X-Treme X-Men Annual 2001. I also loved the Gambit moments too, that's the kind of gal I am.

I came back to the comics this past June or July and I only read TPB's too. It's just easier. I don't have much room for tons of comics. I have to streamline my things. I did get some back issues of past years though. I bought the Annual and I will get issue #200. I'm going to London next year to study acting, so I didn't want to miss out on the biggest issue of the year.

Rogue has had a tough time of it, even with Carey's loving portrayal. First the love of her life joins Apocalypse and then she gets a nasty virus after having to deal with insane Chileans. And more horrible times are ahead for Sugah Magnolia, as promised by the head X-Men editor.

i don't think its just about the sex for rogue even though colossus was interested. i think she could be fine with someone that will accept her for who she is - it takes a special man to tolerate that and something i liked about gambit a lot.

Amen to that. Rogue is one heck of a woman and it takes one heck of a man to accept her for all her beauty, depth and angst, and that man is Remy no matter what anyone says. That reminds me of the Alanis Morrissette song "Everything" in which the chorus is "You see everything/ You see every part/ You see all my light/ And you love my dark." He may be Death right now but he'll be himself again some day.

I'm not intending to start another Gambit debate; not everyone has to love him but I do. Just stating my opinion.

When Evo first came on, the young teenyboppers starting write fanfiction, and a good portion of it was Nightcrawler/Rogue, right?

Well...after some of us comic buffs let them in on the SIBLING THING...all of the fiction disappeared. I mean it. ALL.

Other than those NAUSEATING prospects, I want some new action for Rogue.

As for a beau for Rogue: her hand. She should stay single if she isn't with Gambit. I don't say that because I'm a Romy shipper (I'm not), but because she does better on her own and another romance would bring all the problems of Romy but would lack the history.
