Since there are going to be comic style looks in the film what do you guys think about an adaptation of this look into the film.

That is the best costume suggestion I've seen in this thread.
I'm glad they recast Jean though I was a fan of James as Scott.

Think it was said Sophie is in London currently but could be wrong

I believe that's the first time Sophie and Nicholas have been captured in the same photograph on one of their outings.

Yeah sophie is most definitely in london

I know, her tongue takes all the attention, but he's the hair stylist

Is she related to Famke? Seriously that cast choice was THE BEST!

Sophie has a great complexion (as might be expected on someone so young) and a good figure (slim but curvy and healthy... and not too thin, like some Hollywood actresses).

I'm not sure what the V-sign and the tongue thing was all about in that pic with the cute hairstylist, however!

They are trying to move away from the black leather look. This costume was inspired by the first film, when Marvel started changing things in the books to match the cinematic universe, so no. Besides, it looks a bit too mature for a young Jean. Id want her in something a bit more youthful. I just cant imagine a 16 year old dressed like that. Maybe if she were in her 30s, like Famke's Jean was

I personally love the All New X-men costumes and wouldnt mind seeing a variation of these adapated

They can alter the color scheme but the overall design of it is pretty solid and would translate well

^I like those costumes too, and I do think they might be what they're adapting for this film, but I fear they will get Power Rangers comparisons (Cyclops in blue, Jean in green, Jubilee in yellow, Storm in white if she reverts, Nightcrawler in red, etc.), especially because the villain is already getting them.

We're getting black/gray + a hint of colour costumes anyways so no danger of Power Rangers comparison :oldrazz:

Also I'm not a fan of those Young O5 costumes so I hope they can come up with better ones than those for their (hopefully) second costumes.

I'm hoping they all wear something like what Negasonic was wearing in that Deadpool pic we saw a while back.

If they do (and that's a big if...we've already seen Scott's black/gray costume + JLaw/Quicksilver), I hope they use a better material. The one on Negasonic looked way too cheap and looks like it can rip any second.

Now that you mention that, who designed those Deadpool costumes and why isn't he/she working with the X-Men crew?:csad:

Haha, if those baggy black costumes are it I'll be extremely confused. How do we go from the blue/yellow ones in FC to black again, two movies later? I remember reading a rumor that at the end of DOFP, the fixed!future had the original cast in comic-book accurate suits. I guess they meant comic-book accurate civvies, lol.

Not saying I like them, but I don't think those costumes are baggy at all. They're similar to Future Wolverine's costume with an Under Armor type top + protective armor.

Bryan has said there would be more colourful team outfits so I dunno why it's automatically assume these are the final x-men outfits

Although It's possible it could be these same outfits but with a pecific colour added for each character

You mean Specific?

Where did I say these are the "final" costumes? I've already said they get these black/gray costumes plus maybe something else.

What's the quote from Bryan talking about colorful team outfits anyways?

Edit: Found it:

“In ‘X-Men: First Class,’ which I produced and wrote the story for, we hark back to the original colors of the original costumes from the 1963 comics. I will say that in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ there is a chance -without giving anything away- that you may get closer to seeing what I think, Mr. X-Men News, you are interested in seeing. I know its something that I’ve been interested in, I just always wanted to do it the right way.”

He never actually says anything about the costumes being colorful this time around. You should probably stop misquoting the guy!

Remember this is the same Bryan Singer that, for DOFP, said "For those of you wondering...no leather suits. #xmen"

Instead we still got black costumes though not made of leather ;)

Wouldn't be surprised with that first quote above about being closer to the source material that he simply meant Psylocke's ripped-from the comics costume, or Jubilee's or even Storm's hair. Apocalypse's look, as hard as it is for people to grasp is also much closer to comic book Apocalypse than a 2000-2006 Bryan Singer-helmed X-men movie could get.

People should prob just expect them to wear those black/gray costumes for the majority of the movie and be pleasantly surprised if (!) they showed up at the end with new costumes as opposed to you telling them Bryan Singer said they'd have colorful costumes. Because Bryan Singer never said any of that. LOL
