Sophie turns 19 In february and game of thrones will be In it's 5th season this year so she started young on show.She was really young in 1st season.

I like this casting. Only by her looks. I admit I haven't seen her in anything.. but sure why not give her a chance...

She's Jean Grey only by looking at her.

While Sophie is pretty... last Jean Grey on screen had something, something sexy, that really few girls have, not plenty of beauty, but she has something that really make her really hot IMO.

She will most likely be playing a young, scared and inexperienced struggling version of Jean so I expect the role will be a lot different from what we are used to before she becomes the confident and fierce Pheonix we all know and love.

Oh I hope not, I'd rather see a young Jean that is the flirty girl next door type that she is in the comics. I definitely don't want this to be rogue with red hair. Scott however should be awkward and shy then grow into the confident leader that we expect.

Famke was also significantly older in X1 than Turner is right now. It makes a difference. Janssen was 35 at the time. Turner is 19. Turner probably is so young that she literally can't remember a time when Janssen wasn't Jean Grey.

She's a good actress. As for her look...it's called hair and makeup. She looks enough like a Jean Grey to play Jean Grey.

I like Famke, but let's be honest: Sophie's a more convincing redhead; she's a perfect fit for Jean in terms of physical appearance.

If you want to see how "sexy" she can be, I'd suggest this season of GoT. Her character has decided to "enter the game" and her weapon are her looks.

I'm a huge fan of her on GOT but the only thing is, we're eventually going to be diving into the Phoenix saga again, in the future. I don't necessarily know if I can see her as the Dark Phoenix yet. There character just has traits that we have yet to see her portray.

You're jumping ahead of things. Beyond X-Men Apocalypse, we know very little about what Fox has in store for future X-Men films. This isn't the MCU.

I'm surprised that everyone thinks Sophie looks like Jean... it's really just the hair. What's funny is that Sophie actually reminds me of Kirsten Dunst... and young Jean and MJ were basically drawn the same but with different haircuts haha. Anyway, good luck to Sohpie and hope she does well.

Hailee Steinfeld was so perfect, it is difficult to imagine someone else in Jean. But, Sophie looks the part so good choice. Jean seems to be really important in the movie so i think Bryan knows his work.
