Henry Cavill actually has a GREAT look now for Superman. I was against him during the Casting Wars days because he looked like he was 12, but if you've seen him recently on Showtime's "Tudor's" series, he's filled out quite nicely. AND he can act his ass off being clasically-trained. Completely blows Ruth out of the water.

They should do a reboot, I loved Superman Returns when it came out, then watched it again twice & just hated it, it's not what we wanted or were ready for... Jimmy has a bowtie, does he still wear that in the comics?.. Whats with this timeless look & keeping in with the Chris Reeve films, we don't need to do that, if we want Chris Reeve we'd watch his films, whatsup with the worn out relationship with clark & lois, I want to see Lois fall for Clark, & have a mere crush on Supes, & having a Superman film after 20 years gap with Superman having a son, we were just not ready for that, it's too early, what was Singer thinking?.. He is the Uwe Boll of comic book films, he should give it up...

I'd say, if they could, & are able to manage securing the cast & crew, they should go with the cast of Smallville, but make the film so that you wouldn't have had to watch Smallville... I mean Tom has proved he can do a great Metropolis Clark in Noir & that he can play Superman, Erica Durance would be a great Lois Lane, their relationship on Smallville (which I think is odd as it's too soon for them to meet) is much better than SR, they have a love hate friendship, which can easily lead to more if they spent more time together which they would at the Daily Planet, the whole cast of Smallville would be great, I wanna see Lex Luthor, the evil Bastard businessman that belives the work he is doing is for the greater good, we've had enough of the humourous overweight lex from the movies, Lex from smallville is the lex we should see...

If they couldn't secure the cast of Smallville, I'd say go with an unknown again, someone who doesn't bare similarities to any of the actors who played superman before, Hugh Laurie for Perry White, it's hard to think outside of the Smallville box...

And if they had to have a young Lana Lang in this movie, I can see Megan Fox as a plus. The Transformer's movie is adding to her popularity.

Well not the entire cast. I remember Shia being mentioned for Jimmy awhile back as well as Josh when he was in a Soap Opera and the TV show Vegas.

i think Evangaline Lilly would make a fine Lois Lane though, and as for a director i think Spielberg needs to direct a Superman origin film. it's perfect for him, strong family values, a jewish immigrant allegory, action/adventure and romance.

Well at lest Singer didn't want Lois and Supes to have sex, and then Sueprman die and Lois give birth to a baby two weeks later. And the baby grows to the same age as Superman had just been before he died, and stops there, and Lois carrys on the same relation ship with her son as a clone of Superman. God Burton sucks.
