I honestly can't tell you if the guy can act the part or not because I haven't seen much him in anything but Entourage, but Jordan Belfi might be an option based on his looks.

Belfi plays Adam Davies on Entourage and was in Moonlight, which I've never seen, and it seems like he recieved good reviews for his role on the show.

Here's a new suggestion (I think!) for Clark Kent / Superman - Miles Fisher.

He's 26, and of a similar height and build to Henry Cavill. Needs some bulking up, but I think he has the 'look'. He has starred in Mad Men and more notably, Superhero Movie - where his Tom Cruise parody got a lot of praise. It's probably one of the best impersonations I've seen, so at least we know the guy has some kind of talent.

In this picture, this guy actually does kinda look like Bale's brother.

Oh dear god, I knew I recognised him! I don't know if I could take him seriously as Supes after his pitch-perfect nauseating ******* on Entourage.

I mentioned him like 100 pages ago but Hammer is probably the only known upcoming actor I could see having a realistic shot at this, while also meeting the physical requirements for the role.

He's 6'5 and only born in 1986, despite coming off as older.

Considering it's official that we won't get a Superman film into development until after 2013 at the earliest, someone in THAT age range is probably what we'll get.

Based on his acting style, he'd probably be the equivalent of how Brendan Fraser would have appeared in the role.

I agree entirely that his age is a big asset for him, as 2013 he still is young enough for 2 or 3 sequels.

He does have a deeper voice than Fraser, and also has a more masculine looking face as well. Being 6'5" does not hurt one bit.

Also is entirely possible given the amount of time on his side that he could bulk up for the role too.

in other words you get a happy ''Bale'' version. :)

I'm saving Garrett to play the monster along with Ray Romano as the mad scientist in my version of Frankenstein.

For awhile now, I have thought Alexander Skarsgard should be cast as Aquaman. Well, screw Aquaman. If Skarsgard looked right with darkened hair, I think he could easily pull off both Superman and Clark Kent.

I'm still jealous of Green Lantern, I would take Martin Campbell as Director and Ryan Reynolds as Superman in a heartbeat compared with what we recieved with Returns and what rushewd piece of dreck we might recieve in the future.

And I can't believe I'm going to put the guy over, but Tom Welling has regressed as an actor to the point that I would rather have Routh return than see Welling on the big screen.

every blond men on this planet that has darkened hair and eyebrows looks fake. :awesome:

man at this rate i have no clue who i really would want playing the role. Since there is so many factors in play right now and we have no clue if/when another film is ever going to happen. Sure i wouldnt mind seeing cavill, boomer, hammer, and some other names we have been talking about. But at this rate pretty much all will likely not be looked at if we are waiting 5+ yrs or more. Besides hammer.

They guy is a dead ringer for Tom Crusie:wow:. He could play him in a biopic .

oh i hate the character myself due to kristen's take on the character on smallville. Havent liked the character much since season 2/3 time frame. but for lana at most i would like to see a few smallville days scenes when clark was a teen and at least show his relationship to lana, pete ross, maybe how they learned about his powers. It would just be small short scenes at most for origins in smallville time. Though i wouldnt mind if they did have a adult lana lang show up down the road in a new film series to see whats up with the character maybe have her be a romantic foil to clark to add a dynamic going with lois/clark's love relationship or something.

dang man y does everybody hate the stuff i love, i actually liked kristen kreuk as lana in all seasons.

Wow.

This guy could be the 'Brandon Routh' to Christian Bale's 'Christopher Reeve'

Cast him as Batman if Bale ever jumps ship!

Dang! If Bale steps down from playing Batman for Batman 4 (which he probably will), this guy certainly has potential to fill his shoes. :wow:

well cino i never had a problem with her during seasons 1 and 2 when she was just the girl next door character but by the the seasons 3-7, and her 5 episode arc in season 8 they just continuly put her character in stupid storylines and the whole draging out of the lana and clark relationship they just totally killed the character's likeablity to me.

Well he was essentially playing Tom Cruise in that movie, so for that role it was sort of to be expected. ;)
