In the same age range you might as well cast Caviezel for Superman though.

Agreed!

Caviezel and Hamm are about the same age range and I would choose him ahead of Hamm in a heart beat.

It's not like Caviezel is a known superstar per say either. He is still a relatively under the radar actor who has solid acting experience who would probably bring about some great characteristics of Superman/Clark Kent.

Then again, this is if they want an older Superman who still looks relatively young....but I doubt it.

Whoa, whats with all the Hamm? I haven't read through the last few pages, has someone said that WB is looking at Hamm for the role? If true, color me excited.

*IF* Hamm got it, it stands to reason that the actress playing Lois would be older as well, so I say jennifer Connelly (39) or Kate Beckinsale (37)

It is the name Clint was referencing but never came out and said in the article. Doesn't mean a lot at this stage, but good to end that mini mystery :D

shes 31, id have no problem with it, but remember how young bosworth looked compared to routh.( not that he looked old or anything)

Jennifer Connolly would be a good choice for an older late 30's Lois Lane.

The more I think about it, the more i'm digging the thought of an older badazz supes. one that's been around the block a time or two and knows whats up, with None of this 'woe, (not--->whoa lol ) is me, where do I belong' stuff.

I believe that's "Woe is me." "Whoa, is me!" is what Bizarro says when he sees Superman.

\S/

Plus, Jim is probably going to be too busy campaigning for Sarah Palin or Rick Santorum or some other right-wing nutbar in 2012. He won't have time to play Superman, which is a good thing since he'd probably demand changes to the script to fit his religious beliefs.

Lol yeah, I guess I thought I was horseback riding or something. Had a brainwizz.

I saw Inception a few days ago, and I really got a Superman vibe from Tom Hardy. Sure his character wasn't that much like Superman, but he had that look for sure, and definitely the presence, as he's a great actor. I still want Jon Hamm as Superman, but Tom Hardy has got to be my number 2 guy now.

I never really saw Superman in him until I saw Inception though.

Hardy is a bit short for Supes, but he would do a good job no doubt.

I think Hardy would be excellent as The Eradicator if anything.

I think Hardy will eventually wind up being cast as Bond when Chris Nolan decides to Direct a Bond film and give us the true 3 dimensional Bond characterization from Ian Flemings books. :cwink: :hehe:

Whether you think he looks like Superman or not, I don't know how you can look at this picture here and tell me he doesn't look just a bit too old.

It just depends if one would want to cast an older Superman and not some kid, who can't act and who can't even grow facial hair who would be more like SuperBOY instead of SuperMAN. :word:

I could definitely see Hardy as the next Bond. Tough to say what will happen with that franchise though, at this point. I hope we get at least one more film with Daniel Craig.

He just looks bad when going out and putting tan crap on.

However for a film, he still looks good for his age.

This is from the Prisoner mini series
