I guess you never read the comics. This is clearly based in the Earth-2 S, giving a retro look and a nod to every incarnation of Superman. Just like the wrist things are in action comics 1.

Hi, I'm not ******ed. I know very well the history of the top of the S dropping down for Earth 1, but what I'm referring to is the last 60 years of continuity or so, including EVERY live action representation of the man of steel, where that was not the case...

Jeez, you've gotta be kidding me... You're gonna bring up the Infinite Crisis Earth One Superman...

And other than the top connection, the S is just as different...

You're arguing for a symbol that won't back you up, but it'll use you as much as it can...

du
de, calm down. it's gonna be ok. stay open-minded and you'll be less stressed.

Meh, open minded's for the birds :oldrazz:

I'll se this movie regardless and probably love it, but every once in a while I get all worked up...

Superman's my all time favorite, so he's the one I give a damn about when they start fudging with the costume and whatnot...

Dude, look at the pic above. Cant u see the seem on the leg going up on the leg till it connects to the belt? And the seam on the waist connects to the belt also. I guess your dont have good eyes then or you're just being a troll.
Not seeing what you're wishing to see is not being a troll. The picture clearly shows in no way of the thigh seam connecting to the belt. And the abdomen seam is simply curved away from the buckle, not connecting.

Sounds like you're the one with bad eyes(and attitude) around here.

Since I saw this.

I figured I'd revise my S. Here's the newest version.

Looking at the chair, I'm not sure the top right of the S curves to the left. In other words, where you have an "(" at the top right, I think there's a ")".

Here's a crude drawing of what I'm talking about. What do you think -- does it look that way to you?

that's what I'm seeing too. But it could just be a fold or curl in the chair

Could be, but both chairs would have to be folding in the same way, which is also entirely possible.

It would be awesome if for a teaser poster, instead of just showing the shield, it was a close up shirt rip.

Tagline: "This looks like a job for..."

It does look that way on the chair, but I was also looking at the official pic of Cavill, where it definitely looks curved, to me.

it does look different on the suit and then on the chair. On the suit it looks as if the top curves in and on the chair it looks as if it curves out...

Honestly I'm really used to the new costume now and I'm good with it. I hate to admit it but the manipped hair fixes do make a difference in even how good he looks in the costume. I'm sure things are early and we'll get to see some more positive changes as time passes.

While I have no problem with how the hair actually will be, it does look better like that.

the cape is fantastic.. and with no shield in it.

Why couldn't this person just stick around til "Superman" left so that he could get a shot of the front? haha, I want to see the belt/mid section

It seems nobody has mentioned this but is that Lois to his left?

Lois is clearly on the bottom sporting the new ponytail hairstyle.
