Personally, I would have preferred the costume to look something more simple like this:

It's modern and less alienating/smoother transition imho.

That's cool. Is that a custom-made statue? Looks great. I might prefer a completely attached belt, but yes, I see what you mean about it being a more familiar and a simpler, smoother transition.

This suit looks absolutely STUNNING! This is the first time I can honestly say that I think Superman looks downright badass!

Put this guy, in THIS suit, alongside Bales Batman, and he wouldn't fall behind! Whereas if you put in Reeves Superman suit, or the Returns one for that matter, it would!

This suit is a thing of beauty. They've managed to make this thing look God-like, with a small alien-touch to it. It's anything but cheesy. The symbol screams power. Cavill has the most awesome built for superman, ever. He looks pretty damn powerful overall.

If you care to keep bringing out your superman suit manips, then go right ahead. But nothing you do will make one bit of difference. The suit is what it is. I'd almost call it perfect. With all due respect for you guys "manipping", and for your talent of doing so, I gotta say. You only make this official suit look so much more cool.

Many of You are way too stuck on the way things USED to be - Instead of accepting the way things are gonna be. And I think that when we see this guy in costume within the movie/trailer(s), people are gonna be screaming out BLEEPING COOL! (if not already).

While I agree with you entirely, this being the Fan Art & Manips section, we all get a kick at being able to see and share ideas beyond what is in the movie. I'd even like to see some way far-out designs that distance themselves from the original even more than the movie version.

hey guys, this is my first manip on the MOS suit, I did one " Earth one " suit, and an other , not so different of the mos suit, but more like I would have wanted.

Outstanding. Frankly I prefer both of these to the official suit as I really detest the unnecessary tubing round his waist and down his legs. It looks like some sort of infestation. I'd have been more than happy to see the top one in the movie, perhaps with the red trunks toned down down a fraction.
Brilliant work though.

You know what's sad? When I saw that image, I immediately thought to myself "saggy boobies". I don't know why, but that's what it looks like to me. Superman with saggy boobies. LOL

It's because his \S/ was placed on his ribcage instead of his chest.

The sculpture is fantastic, very well done, you should be proud. I don't know if you can legally make money off of it, I am not a lawyer, but if you can't, you can always offer to give it to Cavill, and his family, they might get a huge kick out of it.

And you could get some press, always a good thing for an artist.

My concern for you would be for copyright, and Warner's, which does seem to protect it's copyright seriously. But donating it, is another thing, and they can do little against that.

But seriously, that is a thing of beauty

Have you considered that maybe English is not his/her first language (though this is just speculation on my part, and I might be wrong)? You have to remember that not everyone that participates on these boards is from the same country.
