If you think making the piping red blends his body in with the cape I'd suggest getting your eyes checked. It's not as if him wearing red trunks makes people go "OMG, WHERE DID HIS CROTCH GO??!!"

That's very different from just making his olibques red.

Thanks for the comments on the custom figure guys! I have started the headsculpt twice, but both times, it was a little too big, so I'm starting again. I finally found a good paint match of navy mixed with medium grey. I'll drybrush that color over the existing navy and that will really bring out the texture but not in an obnoxious way.

On the suit itself, it's really grown on me pretty quickly. I never thought I could like a trunkless suit, but I like this. My wife's first reaction to seeing the new pics was, "That's so #@! the first thing I noticed was the bulge...and it's not good." Her words not mine. I don't think it will be an issue on film though...hopefully!

Will post more pictures of the figure once I get more work done on it.

That's very different from just making his olibques red.

It would be different if it were a solid shape of red with no texture, but in the manip with the red instead of blue you can easily see that it's part of his suit and not his cape. It also makes the suit look more striking and poppy.
