I'll wait for the big trade coming out of these one shots. :p

Cannot wait for Action Comics 900 now to see what happens when Superman faces off with Lex now that Lex has the powers of a cosmic god :wow:

Whatever happened to the Jimmy Olsen back up that used to be in Action Comics

That was pretty fun and it ended so suddenly

All back ups were cut due to the "Holding the line at 2.99" initiative. The Gordon one is being finished in Detective and Jimmy just ended with the one shot.

I'm pretty sure this is a new take on Zod and it's a really great way to start the Superman franchise. Like throw in that Zod has an whole army of criminals doing an invasion on Metropolis and then conclude the movie with Luthor having Kryptonian technology at his hands and make some connections with Brainiac on that and voilá.

I'm waaaay more worried about Zack Snyder than I am about any of the cast or characters so far.

True I'm not too excited for him either. I'm also disappointed on the character choice because I thought Shannon would have made an amazing Luthor.

I was perfectly fine with him...in fact I would go as far as to say that he was the director that Superman most needed...until I saw Sucker Punch.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooo boy.

Oh man was Sucker Punch uninspiring. I mean the thing is he claims he had to cut off alot of important parts (but then again this is what 18 mins? I don't know would 18 extra mins make me care about the characters that much) but why on earth would he make a 88 million budget movie R rated? Why would the studio give him the assumption he can?

Still he has Goyer on the script and Nolan on the producer chair unless Nolan's just in it for the easy cash, but i got faith in Goyer writing a wonderful script for Snyder.

Well, I thought Sucker Punch was pretty good, outside the story, which I didn't think was that horrible, just not very well done in what it was trying to do. As long as Snyder stays away from that (which is is) and just directs, I still have faith in it. The main worries I have is if that story is good to begin with, and all this talk of putting Superman in a 'realistic world' or whatever. Zod is pretty uninspired, though, but whatever, something good can come from it.

Nolan seems to be taking a hands off approach with the movie. It seems that Snyder has full power over the film now. Aside from Dark City, I attribute everything good that Goyer has done to working with the Nolan brothers. Outside of those three films his resume isn't all that impressive.

Well, apparently Nolan liked the script enough to help push it thorough to the bigger wigs, so that's something I guess. Some people say he helped tidy it up some, though I've never read that on any kind of credible source or anything.

I wonder if Zod's plan will involve manipulating the real estate market.

One can only hope. Kneel before Zod's interest rates.

you know, of course it'd be ideal to see a villain that we havent seen before like brainiac or metallo. but regardless, zod is still a cool ass villain. and a modern movie featuring him could be amazing.

I hope that Zod will have that fab red armour the Russian Zod had. It looked amazing

And I really hope that if this movie gets a sequel we get villains like Metallo and Parasite showing up

So I've been finding Robertson's run to be pretty generic, bordering on listless, but y'know what...I think it's all pretty worth it just to see him systematically retcon every single piece of dumb ass s*** that JMS had put in this book.

Well, actually, I thought that the shout-out to Morrison -- with Vandal Savage freaking out over the arrival of bats -- was pretty cool. Honestly, there've been pretty cool scenes in Robertson's run, I'm just not really interested in the overall stories.

Hahaha I :hrt: that page

So glad that Robertson is explaining away some of the dumb stuff JMS has made Superman say

I think Robertson would have been very good for Superman if not for this story arc JMS started. It think that it is good that he is able to fix the mess JMS started and make it good.

Yep kind of hope he sticks around when Grounded is finally over

Ummmm....how did Roberson retcon away JMS' stuff? Superman being in an emotional turmoil due events such as his father's death and the destruction of New Krypton was always in play when JMS was writing the book.
