I could see calling it that if the only difference were the science fiction / noirish setting with no magic at all and that the plot and main character were nothing like Zatanna.

But come on Corp this is a comic where not one single character wears a top hat or fishnets.

It had 2 or 3 fill-ins, so it'll probably around 2 or 3 issues before it ends. Granted that it's a 12 issue thing, and not even more

Look, I'm the biggest diversity apologist in this entire forum, and even I'm gonna say that looks like the dumbest **** I've ever seen.

Stracynski only wishes he could create a character as compelling as Nightrunner.

Robinson will write that issue maybe it will not be as bad as JMS

I liked the last two issues of Roberson's stuff. Interesting enough to make me want to see what's going on, anyway. And this is the issue that has a cosmic race with the Flash, right?

# 709 was a pretty cool issue, mostly because of The Flash's appearance lol. I really liked his end quote, I have it as my sig on another forum:

"I can think at the speed of LIGHT. I can perceive events that last for an ATTOSECOND. I can run faster than TIME. What do you think I see when I run across the country, Superman? I can see EVERYTHING and EVERYONE."

Cannot decide whether to check out Reign of Doomsday

Do not dig Doomsday at all one of my least favouritest villains but Cornell will be writing him and Cornell's Superman comic books have been pretty

So am I the only one who got a copy of Superman 709 that got to the part where Superman first tries to grab The Flash and instead of continuing repeated the first half of the story, and the last half of the letter page, again?

My problem so far is that Cornell is picking up on such an incredibly ****** story. Steel, Outsiders, and Justice League of America have so far all been terrible.

The Justice League issue was not entirely crummy but yep the Steel issue was a big let down

Have not read the Outsiders issue yet

So far the Reign of Doomsday story has been pretty dull just Doomsday randomly beating up characters from the Death of Superman story with no real plot

Justice League wasn't completely terrible. Just the stuff involving Doomsday because I don't know why Doomsday is doing this or why he's adapting. Robinson is a good writer, but a good writer often cannot save what is simply a bad story. And it seems like all the flaws of the story are going to be resolved in Cornell's Action Comics, even though it'll be 6 issues in already.

Have not read the Outsiders issue yet

While Justice League and Steel had some good stuff and ranged more to the mediocre to let down areas, Outsiders was just complete garbage. Of course the book in general has been complete garbage since DiDio took over.

I will be buying issue nine hundred because it is the conclusion of the Lex Luthor story so I will read the start of the Doomsday story and see if it bee any good
