Superman talked like Golden Age Superman more or less. Maybe the person should know what he's talking about next time? Also acted like Batman? Puh please, when have i seen Batman take his time focusing on corrupt policitians, smiling and cracking jokes at the cops and busted corrupt politicians thru a newspaper.
Bruce Wayne pre-Morrison pretyt much just bought factories to get jobs for people and make ghetto slums into less ghetto slums, the only times he really fights corrupt politics or mayors is when they're after himself, it wasn't until Morrison that Batman really went hardcore on his Bruce Wayne and started spending billions on protection, Batmen and so forth, tho i do now rememebr he also with Oliver helps budget the Justice League. Still what Morrison did was bringing Superman back to it's roots and reminding that THIS Superman is what made the concept of superheroes good.
Maybe the person should know what he's talking about next time?

Yes. Clearly he knows NOTHING about what he's talking about.![]()
Did anyone else thing Superman acted and talked way too much like Batman? I mean, literally, like Linkara said in his review of it, look at the first damn line he has.

He shot Superman with a f**king train?
Brilliant.![]()
Just reread Earth One, and I like that better than the one in Action and JLA so far.

One shows Superman. The other shows an ******* in a cape and Supes t-shirt.

Because that was 80 years ago.
The t-shirt version is also 15-20 years younger. He's a young, brash . Hell, this version sprang out of unused ideas from All Star.
Whenever I hear this guy I think of this,

Also going back to the roots worked for , but why wouldn't it work for Superman? Give us a reason.
The whole point of this reboot is to attract new readers. Now, what do the general audience think of when they think of Superman, outside of his powers and costume?
A polite, humble, person.
Someone who fights for the good of everyone.
A respectful person.
An arrogant, show-offy *****ebag.
Someone who says he only fights for one group of people.
A person who publicly mocks the authorities.
Which he is, the people of Metropolis love the of Steel.

They think of:
A polite, humble, person.
Someone who fights for the good of everyone.
A respectful person.
What they do NOT think of:

Someone who says he only fights for one group of people.
A person who publicly mocks the authorities.
See the differences?
Superman didn't become well known for his personality in the Golden Age.
good comparisonEh, the JLA one had one line, so it's hard to really tell. Superman's brief appearance in Animal Man seemed better.
As for Action Comics, I didn't like it. There's a reason they stopped writing Superman the way he was written 80 years ago: Because that was 80 years ago.
I just think it's a matter of comparing this:

You ARE aware that he writes his reviews beforehand and exaggerates a lot, right? Very rarely does he actually really, really get pissed off.
good comparison
Not really. One is a Superman at the beginning of his career and the other is at the very end.
