If it was anything like the silver age Jimmy Olsen or Lois Lane comics I would buy it

Preview for Action Comics #6

I'm slightly disappointed that we didn't get a whole lot of Bruce Springsteen Superman but I'm always excited for "Zapping a thousand ideas into your minds a page" Morrison. Also, these few pages make it much clearer how this is tying to the overall story. I'm more than convince that the little man is Mxy. Especially with lines like "...in my name.:

Rags art turned me off but I really want to see more Springsteen Superman so I'm going to buy this arc since I love the Kubert brothers.

The suit's looking better with each issue. I really liked it in Superman #5.

The new superman suit is fine.
He just doesn't seem very superman-y
Not out n out good and boy scoutish that's what I liked so much about him he was the pinnicle of super heroics.

I hate the new costume and i'm finding the stories less and leas interesting. The Superman books are pretty soon to be on the chopping block for me. It's not that I have a problem with change because I love the new movie costume. Had they gone with that design instead of the clunky looking Lee armor thing, I'd be willing to stick around until the writing settled out. As it is, the new 'Peter Parker'ish version of Clark is the only thing that I find interesting in this reboot.

I like how Kubert sometimes conveniently "forgets" to draw the collar.

They also left out the trunk seams (the ones that give the illusion the suit has blue trunks) in the last Superman issue. The suit's still a work in process I think, and eventually it will be streamlined and finalized. I mean, that's comics isn't it? They never make a final decision about the status quo and firmly stick to it. They wait for reactions from the readers and then they make retcons.

Ditch the collar, ditch the armour and go for classic boots, and possibly revise the belt.

I'm liking Action Comics a lot, and i hope Morrison's run there and Geoff Johns run on Justice League and Aquaman will lead to something big in the DC Universe, in least i hope Aquaman gets a big event similar to Sinestro Corps War.

I'd rather the first big summer blockbuster be a Justice League centric event rather than focusing on individual heores.

I think they said their first event after the reboot would be in some 5 years instead of going the marvel route with 2 or 3 per year, Sinestro corps war wasn't exactly a DCU event, it was an event for Green Lantern, i would like to seem some of those.

I think that to occupy the summer their great event will be the "Before Watchmen" comics

I doubt they're gonna stick to that. Besides, their idea of a "major" event seems to differ from most readers'. Sinestro Corps War is a perfect example. It may have been Green Lantern-centric, but there were just as many tie-ins and extraneous crap as any universe-wide crossover.

I doubt DC will be able to resist. They've still got the purple hooded lady (whose name escapes me) roaming about. They won't leave her five years.

Doing group crossovers is expected, there's a Batman crossover coming soon and 'would be good if good ol' Art could get one. They could bring in Blaqualad and Garth again.

Not really. The only non-Green Lantern book that tied into Sinestro Corps War was Blue Beetle for one issue. DC published a one shot to kick off the event and the four issue Tales of the Sinestro Corps. The entire main story was also confined within Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps as opposed to having a main Sinestro Corps War series and treating those stories as tie-ins.

So yeah, the Sinestro Corps War was actually really small and confined. It stuck within the Green Lantern books, it had very, very, very, VERY few tie-ins, and it didn't even have a main book. A major event would be an event that has several minis, one-shots, a main event book, and tie-ins with several ongoings, the complete opposite of the Sinestro Corps War.

Yeah, I think that DC is going to have an event dealing with her in the next year or two with the end result being taking the best of the pre and post Flashpoint DCUs.

An Aquaman crossover would only work if they had more than one Aquaman book.

Easier said than done, and honestly, I don't think that's enough. That design is essentially the Titans Tomorrow Superman suit, and to me it just doesn't look right. A belt alone just doesn't seem to be enough to replace the trunks.

Quick question, how old is the Superman in Action Comics?

Well, the one in the lastest issue is like mid twenties. When the book started he was like, early 20's.
