It's your prerogative to like what you want. But don't go around saying who thought Aquaman could be so badass and that he's never been better, when clearly, you're in the minority.

For example, most people on these boards like Grant Morrison's Batman. But nobody on these boards saying Batman has never been better when Tony Daniel ripped off Joker's face, just because they preferred that story.

To say things like that, there should be a consensus.

I don't know about a consensus. You don't have to like something just because everybody else likes it.

No, it's just a simple matter of him having crappy taste. :o

You probably have problems understanding. I don't blame you for that.

I said I never cared for this version of Aquaman. I never like the long hair, the hook and the "do not pollute the seas or I will invade you surface dwellers attitude".
Sure, there can be stories of him with the hook that is good, but I do not fancy them. Who are you to tell me what I can care and do not care for.
The pre-flashpoint Aquaman stories I liked best was death of a prince. I also did not particularly care for 2003 Aquaman issue. He went from this

All within the span of 50 issues.
Well written or not, I did not like that most of the adventures are under water, and that he has always been written and drawn as an angry old man. The only time I ever liked Aquaman was Brightest Day, New 52 and BATB. And that is my prerogative what stories I choose to like and do not like.
...you don't like...

...that most issues of Aquaman...

...took place under water?

AQUAman? Do you not know what the word aqua ****ing means?

Also, Brightest Day was a hunk of fried ****. :o

Kinda hit the nail on the head.

He has a point. While we're at it, why the **** does Spider-Man dress like a bug?

I can say whatever I want. People have different opinions. For one, sales have proven that Aquaman has never been more popular than this.

Also FYI, there are tons of people who hates Grant Morrison's Batman or writing for that matter. Scott Snyder is probably everyone's favorite. Even so, there are still people who do not like his work. Why does it bother you what my opinions are, its a forum, people post their opinions and everyone has differing opinions.
I for one love Grant's Superman, but half of the population online hates Action Comics. Sales have proven that its popular on the general consensus. But there are tons of people who loves it. Just like how so many people online hated the new 52 but sales proven that new 52 is a success.

Just because Superman is an alien means he has to have space adventures all the time? A huge majority of his adventures are on earth.
Just because you have a certain origin doesn't mean you have to be bounded by that.
Does spiderman hang out in dark alleys and rundown abandoned houses?

I wish superman had more space adventures ._.

but it's more like not wanting green lantern to go in space, or batman to go out at night

His name's Superman. Not Spaceman. Your Aquaman complaint is like complaining that you don't like Superman stories when he does things normal people can't.

As MF already said, your analogies don't make any sense.

So please, either say something at least halfway logical or just stop talking and save yourself the embarrassment.

is there really so much of nothing to discuss about superman that we're debating aquaman?

Whatever. People are so aggressive here. Its like its a a crime to have differing opinions. I never said I hate Aquaman, I just don't like all the versions of it.
I'm sorry I don't know this is a forum that people can only discuss views that coincide with everyone else.
You'll be glad to know I'll be staying away from this part of the forum.
This passive aggressive attitude is so off putting and all I did was to have a different opinion.

Check this out, Smallville: Season 11 issue 1 reprint cover.

It'a nice to see the classic costume again, even if it just a cover.

Dude. Nobody cares that you don't like something. It's just ridiculous that you think Aquaman would be better if he didn't go underwater when he's AQUAman.

Last comment.

No one cares? Obviously you care, if not you would not be so concerned about every single thing I'm saying.
I did not like that most of his adventures are in the sea, I want some balance on land as well. Why is that wrong? Its ridiculous that you can't see that people want some balance in their life. I love Green Lantern's space adventures since they're Space Cops. But I would get bored if all the issues are in Space. I would like a good portion on earth as well.

I love Aquaman, I just don't like all versions of it. Even if I hate Aquaman, this is a forum and its my place to voice it.

Now can we shift the topic back to Superman. Anyone that has a problem with me take it to my PM.

Does anyone have a violin handy?

Does spiderman hang out in dark alleys and rundown abandoned houses?
No, but he does spin his web every 5 minutes, doesn't he? Hence the name.
Aquaman is the superhero of the sea/ocean/water, in my book, it means that his adventure have to be ocean related, even if he can have something sometimes out of water.
Personally, that's why I read the book. To see all the magic that water can bring, giant waves, pirates, boats, atlantis, Bermuda triangle, Leviathan, etc...

But Sethy prefers full page spreads of Aquaman playing fetch with his golden retriever.

I actually liked this new issue of Action comics.Sure Morrison has his faults but this issue proves he gets the SUPER in SUPERMAN(although he has shown he doesnt get the MAN part).
I really cant wait to see what Morison has planned for the Fifth Dimension.

DC announces H'el on Earth.

This fall, DC Comics will make a move to draw its Superman group of titles closer together even as it tears the Superman family apart. In November, across the 14th issues of "Superboy," "Supergirl" and "Superman," the publisher will launch a crossover story called "H'el On Earth" featuring an all-new villain culled from Krypton's mysterious past. The company announced its move on its The Source blog.

The action starts in "Superboy" #14 by Tom DeFalco and R.B. Silva where the Teen Titans and Supergirl hold witness to the Teen of Steel's horrific takedown before "Supergirl" #14 by Mike Johnson and Mahmud Asrar where Kara "finds herself agreeing with [H'el's] pro-Krypton/anti-Earth plans."

The crossover will wrap with "Superman" #14 where the Man of Steel enters the fray by Scott Lobdell and Kenneth Rockafort in a battle with a villain DC described as "a creature of unknown Kryptonian origin who is not only more powerful than Superman, but is also smarter than Supergirl and more lethal than Superboy."

Check out the covers below, more info on The Source and stay tuned to CBR News for more on "H'el On Earth."
