The Official Superman Thread - Part 5

After reading the recent Superman Unchained and thinking back to the H'El arc it makes me wonder more what the fight between Lex and Superman was. I remember that Andy Diggle was suppose to write this battle during his run on Action it was suppose to showcase Lex's fall from grace. I just wish we would have gotten to see this now. I hope they do have plans on showing this fight some time down the line.

Does anyone know why Superman haters are so obsessed with Superman? They claim not to like him. But they always stop and read articles about him. And even watch his videos online. Then they leave all the usual comments. Like he's lame and boring and that they have no interest in him. If they have no interest in him. Then why do they keep reading about him?

They're in denial.

Or threatened that their favorite characters are being overshadowed. There are characters that I don't care for, so I just simply don't read news or discuss them.

That's not a Superman thing, it's a hater thing. People who like to complain need something to complain about.

This seems to be a common thing with a few heroes.

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this question, but can somebody point me to a * completed * resource that lists all of the 2004-2011 Supergirl's appearances and relevant story arcs in the order they occur 'in-universe'?

I want them all. Darwyn, you magnificent bastard.

I agree, especially when it comes to movies. That's why I've kind of abandoned that area of the boards for a little while. There's way too much bickering over the most minor details.

Sorry for the double-post, but I think I've managed to work everything out - chronology-wise - using a combination of the incomplete chronology from that above-linked site, info on trade paperbacks from that same site, and my own deductive reasoning skills.

Who keeps putting chains on Super-people?

They never learn.

Are you guys reading Johns/Romita Jr. Superman? I'm loving it so far.

I just recently jumped in with the Ulysses arc. It's not my favorite line, but I really appreciate the parallels between Neil and Clark. Unchained has been my new favorite toy. I just tried it out this week and am loving it.

Nice to see I'm not alone!
That villain, the Machinist, is quite creepy and he has a lot of potential, imo.

Oh, btw, Pak's work on Action Comics has been a joy (leaving Doomed out of it). :)

Hopefully the momentum comes back now that we're past Domed and the aftermath issue. I liked Doomed a lot, but I feel like it was longer than it needed to be.

I'm hoping that after the Lex run in the Justice League line we can get him back into Action Comics.
