I hope it fails miserably and Busiek and Woods come back.

Or they cancel it and make Superman interesting.

Okay, I never liked Donner's version, but that scene is awsome.

Found this.

I think they'll be more to come.

I am looking forward to this arc. I just wish we knew more about it then what we do. I think this arc will be more like For Tomorrow where issue by issue you may not get it or may not like it but once it is collected into a TPB it will be a great read. But then again I am one of those people who liked For Tomorrow before the TPB.

What is there to know? A rocket ship lands, there will probably be a kid in it, Lois and Clark will adopt said kid, there you go, SUperman has a kid. Meanhwile, Johns and Donner ****up every great Superman villain while presenting them as if the Silver Age never ended and making Bizarro angry, even though its totally out of character.

Darth I can feel your anger now let go of that hate and make your path to the Dark Side complete.

All it lets me know is instead of Superman having a child of his own blood they will give him someone else child. Which could work in many ways like what if the parents return for their child??? I am just going to wait and see before I judge this book and even if I hate it the fanboy in me wont let me drop the title. Which is why I have the whole Chuck Austin arc :(

Oh God! Superman and Lois showing up for a custody hearing against Klo-Narf and Ju-Baa.

not too thrilled about the coloring in that pic

The coloring looks pretty rough. In all fairness, however, I'm pretty sure that's going to wind up a relatively small panel on whatever page it's on. Kubert wouldn't have skimped on the detail so much if it were intended to be a major eye-catcher.

that preview made me consider dropping this book... i can see it... supes and lois raising this lil kryptobastard and me not reading anything to do with superman...

A couple of things:

1. Ok, Kubert we got it. You liked SUperman returns, doesnt mean you have to make an \S/ buckle and give him Brandon Routh's hairdo.

2. Thank you Johns and Donner, I really love that you pretty much went back 30 years and made Jimmy Olsen a half-wit imbecile page boy who runs around and gets people coffee and looks like hes 12 once again. YAY! for haracter development being thrown out the window!

3. So its obvious Superman is going to adopt this kid or hes going to turn evil.

4. Who ever is doing the coloring on Kubert's pencils should be fired.

you forgot they should fire kubert for doing those pencils in the first place

Kubert will probably be the highlight of this book honestly, except for the \S/ buckle. Andy had it right with his variant cover.
