Sequels The Official The Lizard in Spider-Man 4 thread!

I just always think of the guy who plays Conners as the Peado in Happiness.
Ugh.

Um, yeah, I've already stated that if Spider-Man 4 does NOT have Lizard, I will be ticked off beyond belief.

As Stan Lee said, using Lizard is the next logical step to take. And he's one of my favorite Spidey villains ever, so I guess you can call me biased.

*Bump*

The Lizard is the best direction to for Spider-Man 4. As mentioned, it's the most logical choice. We know who Doctor Connors is, they can expand on it and truly tell a good story.

Also I guess I should bring up this point to the Lizard fans;

Would you want to see Connors have an instant transformation? Or would you like to see a progression throughout the movie?

As Vis mentioned a lil bit back, I would like to see a progressive transformation ala The Fly.
And each time we see the Lizard appear, he should look different to show that hes gradually transforming.

There would be three definite forms tho

First Form: A mix between Ditko and Ramos. This form should be very humanoid to show hes struggling to contain the Lizard persona (which wont talk BTW :hyper:)

Second Form: All Lizard now, majority of the movie would use this form, with slight changes as the movies goes on.

Third Form: Basically the form for the Final Battle. He should be towering Spidey, basically Uber Lizard but nowhere near as big as Lizard's final form in the SM3 game). A mix of the two below

I love that idea. That's thinking outside of the box. Not only would that make an wonderfully visual film, but very much like the Iron Man suit (of three stages) there would be three different merchandising images to market. At the same time, giving the audience various classic LIZARD designs in one movie.

As I have said, that's an awesome idea! It defenitley could work if you ask me.

I wouldn't mind the Lizard being in it. But I really hope we see The Black Cat. :word:

After the ridiculous, improbable thrashing that writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had Black Cat give Lizard in Sensational Spider-Man #23-27, I don't think I can ever see those two characters together again. :csad:

Don't tell they made Black Cat beat The Lizard. If so, find the writer and shoot him dead!

In the "Feral" storyline from Sensational Spider-Man, there was a meteorite in New York that was making certain people (and heroes) behave in a more savage manner. Black Cat goes berserk and jumps into a fight with the Lizard and somehow manages to slice him up with her claws and kick him off a roof before Spidey says "Stop! Don't kill him!" :whatever:

You'd think that the meteorite would have had the same effect on the Lizard, who's about 10 times stronger than Black Cat regardless of whether she's "savage" or not, but nope, Lizard got the smackdown from a Catwoman wannabe. :down

The writer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, admitted in a Marvel Spotlight interview that Black Cat was his favorite Spidey character, so there you go. I want to write a Spidey story so I can have my favorite Lizard beat up the Rhino and Venom at the same time, since apparently you get to live out your dorky fanboy fantasies as a writer.

Damn, that's screwed up. How the hell can a berserk woman beat The Lizard, that's some horrid writing. Does anyone have pictures of this fight?

Anyway, I want Superhero Hype! to put on their main page that most fans want to see the The Lizard as the main villain and Kraven as a secondary/side villain. Did you see how fast Sony responded to the rumors of the two actors being considered for SM4? Sony reads the main page every freakin' day. Come on SHH! use your powers for good. My worst fear is that they throw Black Cat the catwoman clone into the same movie with THE LIZARD, instead Kraven.

I think it's time for me to repost this:

The Lizard's top 10 most embarrassing comic moments

10. Amazing Spider-Man #77 - The Lizard is defeated by dehydration.
asm77fu5.jpg

Good old Stan Lee apparently got confused about the differences between reptiles and amphibians in this story, and the Lizard gets taken out by a facefull of dehydrating powder. Too bad Lizzy didn't have a squirt bottle of Gatorade handy.

9. Spidey Super Stories # 36 - The Lizard drinks the wrong cure and turns into a tortoise.
sss36pe3.jpg

Yes, I realize that Spidey Super Stories was meant for little kids, but there's a difference between simplifying a character for children and having them turn into Tippy Turtle.

8. Gus Beezer with Spider-Man # 1 - Gus's annoying sister plays the role of the Lizard.
gbsm1mh6.jpg

Another kid-oriented Marvel comic, this one featuring the poor-man's Calvin minus Hobbes, Gus Beezer. The Lizard's ponytail is what pushed me over the edge.

7. Spider-Man: The Manga # 6 - The Japanese version of the Lizard is killed by crocodiles.
smmanga6rv8.jpg

If you're going to adapt a character, at least do a little research. Someone should have told the writer of this 1970s manga that the Lizard controls reptiles and doesn't get eaten by them.

6. Prime # 2 - The Lizard II (AKA: Lizard-clone) has a bonding moment with a naked 13 year-old boy.
prime2xo7.jpg

Long, stupid story short: In this Marvel/Malibu comics crossover from 1995, the bestial Lizard is sent to the Malibu universe, where the 13 year-old alter-ego of the superhero Prime tries to stop his rampage in the jungle. Here we see teenaged Kevin, butt-naked due to his Prime-powers dripping away, trying to get the Lizard-clone to grab hold of a magical Spider-totem. Yes, that's right - a magical Spider-totem. Homoeroticism, anyone?

5. Marvel Knights Spider-Man #11 - The Lizard joins the "Sinister Twelve".
mksm11cr6.jpg

Never mind that the very concept of taking the 12 most famous Spidey villains and putting them on a big team together reeks of fanboy silliness -- but what exactly is supposed to be the Lizard's motivation here? Lizzy hates all humans, not just Spider-Man, so he's not going to team up with a bunch of them just because Norman Osborn says so. Note the kick in the chops that Black Cat is somehow able to give the Lizard on this page...a sad omen of things to come later. :cmad:

4. Spectacular Spider-Man vol 2, # 13 - Curt Connors is apparently a big lying bastard.
ssm13ud2.jpg

Here writer Paul Jenkins decides that 40 years of continuity needs to go out the window because it would be dramatic to reveal that Curt Connors has consciously been in control of the Lizard's villainous personality from day one. Fortunately, it looks like this story will be retconned by virtue of being ignored by all future writers.

3. Secret Wars # 8 - The Lizard takes part in a game of patty-cake with Ben Grimm, Hawkeye, and Klaw.
sw8tj5.jpg

It's bad enough that poor Lizzy never really got to take part in any of the cool battles in the Secret Wars mini-series, but this is just adding grievous insult to injury. Apparently the effects of being transported to Battleworld rendered the Lizard temporarily ******ed.

2. Spider-Man: Quality of Life 4-issue mini-series - The Lizard gets shot in the arm, bleeds green blood, gets almost strangled to death by a newbie villain....oh, and did I mention he's naked and looks like a puppetoon character?
smql3jn6.jpg

This is what happens when mini-series writers and artists are unsupervised by any editors that give a crap about the material. The sad thing is that since the character of Martha Connors was actually killed off in this mini, it will have to continue to be acknowledged in future stories.

And, the predictable finale...

1. Sensational Spider-Man # 24 and #27 - The Lizard gets his ass handed to him by the Black Cat.

Sure, there was a weird meteorite that made all the animal-villains go crazy in this story, but is that any excuse to have a Catwoman-wannabe with no super-strength tear up a monster villain who's stronger than Spider-Man? Well, story writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacsa said that Black Cat was his favorite Spidey character, so I guess that's all the excuse that's needed. I'm eagerly awaiting an upcoming story to be written by a big fan of the Grizzly, so we can see the Grizzly put the smackdown on Venom.

Oh, for shame. :(

Let us pray that if THE LIZARD is in SM4, they won't use any of that material, I mean damn! :O

Definitely Lizard in part 4, with Kraven brought in to hunt and kill him.
Have Rhino as Kraven's sidekick.
Meanwhile, Peter Parker/Spidey creates the anitdote to save Connors.

It would be awesome
:

Spidey fights Lizard doesn't know it's Connors at first.

Kraven is brought in to hunt and kill the Lizard.

Kraven brings in sidekick the Rhino.

Peter Parker finds out that Connors is the Lizard.

Spidey fights Kraven and Rhino trying to protect the Lizard.

Lizard is rampaging through sewers and Central park.

Spidey beats Rhino but Kraven gets away and is about to kill the Lizard.

Spidey fights Kraven and beats him.

Then Spidey struggles with the Lizard pouring the antidote into his mouth.

Lizard changes back to Connors.

That would be the basic plot for a very cool action packed Spidey 4.

Sony stated that there's only TWO villains in SM4. Keep that in mind. What's this Lizard, Kraven and Rhino jazz?

fans eat that crap up is the sad thing. I complained about how the new Spectacular Spider-man show is doing a bad job at having Spidey getting beaten by guys way less powerful, and being shown as weaker then regular humans, but i got torn apart, because apparently its a sin to point out that show has its problems, and that they don't count because the stories are good:whatever: i mean sure the stories are good, but that doesn't mean its smart to have something equivalent of the Black Cat owning the Lizard

man that would rock. nice idea.

Why not? Kraven is fits perfectly if lizard is in it
