However, if they're going for the slow transformation type deal, then you should see a 'mutated monster man" at his middle stages of transforming.

True, and that seems as how it will go, but for some reasons, I have a feeling it won't.

If they were gonna use lizard,it should of been in the last film! then you could of had spidey in the symbiote taking on both sandman & lizard!Then in s-m 4 that could of bridged the whole peter turning evil thing,with the eddie brock story line.at the end we see venom.S-M 5 spidey back in his red & blue taking on venom.S-M 6 carnage!!

Remember in Batman Begins at the end of the movie they mentioned the joker? imagine if joker wasn't in TDK but,penguin & killer crock were in the movie!! thats what spiderman did,they introduced k.conners aswell john jameson who if i'm not mistaken is an astronaught who is going to mars but,none of that was in s-m3! it's like they forgot what they did in s-m2 & said screw that,let's do this!! TOTAL CRAP!!

Nah, the Lizard and the symbiote costume need to be kept totally separate from each other in the movies. I don't even want to see any further reference to Curt Connors examining the symbiote sample from SM3 - just pretend it never happened.

In the comics, there was only one storyline featuring the Lizard when Spidey was wearing the black suit (aside from Secret Wars, of course), and even then it was the regular cloth black suit after he had gotten rid of the symbiote. (Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man # 127, BTW)

Not really, thats a bad comparison. IF anything Harry's set up to be a Goblin is the equivilant to the Joker card...and got just that; Harry became villain. Connor's role in the 2nd was a cameo Easter egg at most. Nothing in the movie set up anything for him to be a villain down the line. Now his role in SM3 is a different subject. They actually expanded his role to a supporting a character and involved him in the main story. His lizard stuff in the background plus studying the symbiote could very possibly spark an interest in him to develop the Lizard serum.

Trust me, it will. For some reason, Sony is horrible at keeping their script secret. It's always someone at the Sony company who leaks the script. This was the case for both SM2 and SM3.

I suppose. It's just that to my knowledge none of the filmmakers have discussed their discarded plans for the Lizard. I mean they've discussed the Black Cat storyline and even the Vulture storyline for Spider-man 3, but not the Lizard. I think it'd be really cool to see what plans they had, if any. While the film was in development and in production it was frequently rumored Connors would appear as the Lizard, but once the film opened there's been no hints that was ever part of the plan other than Michael Chabon's comments (and he wasn't sure either).
