Well all it takes is a few mistakes to make to doubt yourself. Everybody doubts themselves sometimes, even Doom and Namor.
Dude, Gluey, you're gonna have to accept that the Sentry is staying down in the power ranks among guys like Thor and the Hulk. His Galactus-fighting status seems to be pretty well gone for good. My only hope now is that someone cuts his hair so that we can avoid any jokes from the fact that both he and Thor are supposed to be some of the most powerful guys ever and they both have long, flowing, golden locks.
He already knows, so I think you're safe there. Given how the likes of Dr. Strange and Black Bolt are now being made to look like *****es without any explanation, you should just be glad that the Sentry even got that much.Eh, it's being explained away. I just don't wanna see Sentry break down like a b***h over being told something like, "You're the Void."
I thought Sentry's diminished power output was justified in-story as a self-imposed limitation, due to if he gets too out of hand then the Void will come out and eat the human race again, or some such thing?
I mean I don't really know for sure, this is just what I've gleaned from other people's discussions on the subject.
On a separate note: Do we know / have any particular good guess whether Thor retains any of his King Thor / Rune Thor powers?
Well, there's a preview in the Thor NEWS thread that shows Thor basically pulling a whole new Asgard out of a thunderstorm in issue #2, which implies to me that he's got some Odinpower/rune mojo left over. As far as I know, neither Thor nor Mjolnir could pull giant floating landmasses out of nothing with their classic powers (unless they were teleporting Asgard in, which doesn't make sense because 1) it looks totally different and 2) the whole Asgard dimension was physically destroyed in "Ragnarok").
As for the Sentry's power level, it's supposed to depend on his self-confidence or something. The idea that the more powerful he gets, the more powerful the Void gets is an implied limit on his power, since I don't think Rob would want to will himself to such a high power level that no one could take his evil counterpart down if push came to shove again.

I'll agree with you on Namor. Doom, hmm im gonna say he's waaaay too egotistical to even consider the possibility of having low self confidence which would probably eliminate any thoughts of failure on his part.
Strange was always someone I found funny, not sure why, I think it's his arrogance. When is he gonna fight the Hulk? I do hope he hurts the green pile of turd, at least a little.
Nope, it's his little mustache. Everyone finds Strange funny for that.Strange was always someone I found funny, not sure why, I think it's his arrogance. When is he gonna fight the Hulk? I do hope he hurts the green pile of turd, at least a little.
Strange has been upgraded back to "Dues ex machina" status. o.o
Marcos Martin did away with the onesies! Why couldn't Yu have followed suit? And the pajama pants.
Except when he apparently forgets to put up the mystical shields he always used to have on and gets stabbed through the chest by a plain old sword.Strange has been upgraded back to "Dues ex machina" status. o.o
Don't hold your breath. If you die, you'll stink up the place.

Might've been Hitler's Katana.
The guy did fight a mystical war for 5 thousand years, the least he can do is put up a mean fight with the Hulk. I can see me getting annoyed when I see this particular fight![]()
Ah yes, the 60's porn star stachet:
By all means, Blackagar should've flattened Hulk, and he didn't even seem to hurt Hulk. I'm assuming they'll carry the trend, despite the lack of relation of powers.
The reason they give for the Hulk being able to stand up to Black Bolt is that he is, as of WWH, angrier than he has ever been. That's straight from Greg Pak, the writer of the whole event since Planet Hulk. Also, the warp core explosion somehow interacted with the Hulk's physiology to make him even stronger than usual to begin with. That's also from Pak. So he's got a higher base strength than his usual class 90-100, plus he's angrier than ever. I think those two factors make it perfectly reasonable for the Hulk to be kicking as much ass as he is.Hmm, I had wondered why he didn't hurt the Hulk, but seeing as this is the Hulks story they can't have him lose, especially his first fight. One of them had better beat him, and I just hope it's not Stark.
