In the year 5 it's explained his parents are in St Mungos and have been for the past 14 years. And they were attacked by Lestrange not He-who-must-not-be-named.

Yeah Bella tortured them to the point of insanity.

I always thought Neville was.
He WAS the one who found the prophecy.

The deciding factor was Voldermort and who he chose to go after. Since he choose to go after Harry, Harry became his nemesis.

Its probabley fake. There are loads of websites and people on forums claiming to have spoilers and know who gonna die. I'm willing to bet most of them just guessing.

IM hoping but hes scanned the book..taken pictures..he even has the mary grand pre chapter pictures online. im pretty sure its real but i hope its not.

More or less, Voldemort is a self-hating wizard, his half muggle side anyway. If there's another that's similar to him, he sees him as a threat in the future, either by taking over his role as a dark lord, or being equal to him in power and defeating him.

Just saw the movie and while I thought it was very good, I felt it kinda lacked energy. From the first scene everyone just felt way too calm, when I read the Dudley Demented chapter it just had this very paniced, fast pace that I felt was completely absent from most of the movie. Although I really liked what Yates did and felt he made a very good movie, just felt it could've used more energy, a faster pace, which is weird because I felt the 4th movie had too fast of a pace.

Why? I think it's a great reason, speaks volumes about the character of Voldemort.

Completely agree. It's so cliched, I get tired of stupid prophecies as well. Oh, and also being the one. Neo is "The One", Anakin is "The Chosen One", now Harry too.

See the different thing about Harry is the Prophecy didn't chose him, his enemy chose him. I think that makes it different enough to be interesting.

As for how it was handled in the film, I thought there was more explaination than the Marauder's in the PoA film. Also a lot better than most of the stuff left totally unexplained in GoF.

Voldermaurt tried to kill the whole family... harry survived... and soon after Voldermaurt was defeated. Harry is simply the only living proof of voldermaurt failing... Voldemort attacked Harry's family, with the sole intention of killing Harry, Harry's mom's love spared Harry. It's not so much weakness as Voldemort fulfilling the Prophecy by attacking the Potters.

^He doesn't have a wife and wizard shepherd...haha get it..German shepherd yea it was lame. One little thing that irked me was the locket being left out. Harry finds an old locket at Grimmauld Place and it is mentioned in HBP. This locket might have something to do with Voldemort.
