Words cannot express how I am feeling right now when I stumbled across those new HP photos.

Seriously. Had it not be for the above user bumping up this thread, I probably never would have seen them until half a dozen hours from now.

Harry's long hair is gone, THANK GOD. Ron's long hair is gone, THANK GOD. No sight of Hermione's annoying wrinkles, good, but I wouldn't breathe in relief just yet. The DA pose looks great. Although, I'm not digging Neville, Fred and George's new hair. I don't recall reading Harry fighting the Dementors in a dungeon or alley, so either they changed it or I need to read the book again. But what really got me thrown off my chair was the photo of Umbridge, McGonagall and Trelawney. A thing of brilliance. Granted, Umbridge isn't what I pictured her to be; colorful and pink, but I have a knack for skipping descriptions of clothes in the books. Not that I'm complaining.

Odd, I always pictured Umbridge to be in blue suit.

I'm also glad they ditched the long hair for Ron and his brothers but I liked Harry's hair from the 4th movie.

DA: Ginny's the only girl wearing pants. Who the heck are those two on the far left? Ernie Macmillin and Michael Corner? Dean's too tall. Nigel? Found him to be incredibly annoying in GoF. Nonetheless, it is BA.

Seriously this flick is going to look great.

It doesn't look as dark as the last 2 films .I guess Umbridge doesn't really have to be fat Hermonie isn't like she is in the books,if Umbridge has a really sickenly annoying voice and attitude she will capture the spirit of the book for me . I don't know the story behind the haircuts but I like it . They all look a little younger with the haircuts, I wonder if that's why. Ron's hair in particular in GoF bothered the heck out of me.

Staunton looks as if she'll be great as Umbridge, I just hope she is a ***** in the film.Thaat's how Umbridge is. I'm really glad to see Trelawney back. Was she scared of Umbridge in the book? I can't remember, sorry.

I don't necessarily think that a film has to be visually dark to be dark. Umbridge will bring the darkness. Anyway, these are set photos, they'll be darkening the film with color correction and timing, etc. Plus there'll be music to add to the tone, etc.

Harry's hair in GOF was fine, I always imagined Harry having scruffy sort of hair like that. In these pics here, it looks too short imo. Just not right. But it's only hair I guess.


The picture of the DA looks pretty good. Although I imagined more people.

I just saw Harry and I am so pissed they cut his hair. Harry's suppose to have longer hair, that messy mop on top of his head.

It's not just nitpicking either, that's the character, that's how he looks, plus I saw him getting longer hair like a Wizard as time went on, and that's how it seemed in the last few movies.

Which sucks. Without Marietta, there would be no Kingsley modifying Marietta's memory, no Umbridge manhandling her, which leads to no "'I cannot allow you to manhandle my students, Dolores,' said Dumbledore and, for the first time, he looked angry," unless they are going to replace Marietta with either Slightly Creepy Boy or Somewhat Doubtful Boy, then it's kinda fine, I suppose. But I still don't like the idea. Dumbledore's flight HAS to be there, if it must, words by words.

Side note, I don't really mind Harry's short haircut. In fact, I quite like it. I hated his long GoF hair. It looked good in some scenes and looked really bad in most, to say the least.

Trelawney broke in hysterical sobs when Umbridge sacked her in the middle of the Entrance Hall. I suppose that counts as fear.

'No!' she shrieked. 'NO! This cannot be happening… it cannot… I refuse to accept it!'
'You didn't realise this was coming?' said a high girlish voice, sounding callously amused, and Harry, moving slightly to his right, saw that Trelawney's terrifying vision was nothing other than Professor Umbridge. 'Incapable though you are of predicting even tomorrow's weather, you must surely have realised that your pitiful performance during my inspections, and lack of any improvement, would make it inevitable that you would be sacked?'
'You c – can't!' howled Professor Trelawney, tears streaming down her face from behind her enormous lenses, 'you c – can't sack me! I've b – been here sixteen years! H – Hogwarts is m – my h – home!'
'It was your home,' said Professor Umbridge, and Harry was revolted to see the enjoyment stretching her toadlike face as she watched Professor Trelawney sink, sobbing uncontrollable, on to one of her trunks, 'until an hour ago, when the Minister for Magic countersigned your Order of Dismissal. Now kindly remove yourself from this Hall. You are embarrassing us.'
