and tedious would mean she had to think and come up with things ;) so ya im sure the story was planned out, but a little thing like green eyes meaning something.. most likely not.

plus when writting the first book she never could have imagined the success... and the first movie was not made in 2005... so movie harry hasn't had green eyes for a long time

the boston globe - october 1999
Do you know what Harry's parents look like?
"Yes. I've even drawn a picture of how they look. Harry has his father and mother's good looks. But he has his mother's eyes and that's very important in a future book."

all im saying, is the color doesn't matter... its the significants that does.

Can anyone answer one question for me.
I've seen OOTP 3 times now in cinemas and there's the scene where Harry sees Kreacher for the first time.

Kreacher is talking to someone but we don't see who she is.
Who is that woman Kreacher is talking too ?

Edit :
Also a huge plus point. The song that plays when Harry , TOnks , Moody and the other fly over over the Thames. I absolutely love that song :D

It could be Sirius's mother's portrait. Or he could have been muttering.

The portraits talk
I didn't know that the magic in the Potter world was that strong. I mean we are literally talking real life action here , not some picture where the image moves.

A painting can talk. (headmaster portraits for instance) Photographs don't. In the books his mother kept screaming in Grimmauld Place when awoke.

So if the paintings can talk, does that mean they take on the same characteristics as the person in the painting?

dude.. im saying does the color really matter as long as its the same color and harry still has his "mothers eyes" in the movie?

The point is that the green eyes stood out because james never had them. Now james had brown eyes in the book and the movie so the comparison is lost. It also shows that you were wrong in thinking JK made the little details up as she went along and it hadn't occurred to her prior to casting the movie so she didn't point it out.

well she obviously didn't find it important for the movies then...

plus harry potter has blue eyes in the movies... why cant you swap out blue for green?

as long as his mom has blue eyes... i don't see a damn difference

They're basically that exact person. Only difference being, people in portraits are stuck in a frame.

Don't waste your breath. More proof we're right:

It happened very suddenly. The hook-nosed teacher looked past Quirrel's turban straight into Harry's eyes-- and a sharp, hot pain shot across the scar n Harry's forehead.

Dumbledore's robes are so shabby in the last few movies, he looks like an old homeless man

Saw it again yesterday! With second screening it looks way better (though at first I gave it 7)

Yates for Half-Blood Prince

It means hes gona be angry..but he's gona be happy about it..

(inside potter joke anyone? no?..k:()

just saw the movie- amazing final act and well adapted from the book. The final battle was confusing with everyone appearing and diappearing. I think i saw tonks one second in the final battle! I was disappointed in Snapes worst memory because it was about harry and his father rather than snape. In light of the final book this is a big mistake considering 'the prince's tale' is the most successful chapter.
highlight- dumbledore vs voldemort
lowlight - really no low point in the movie- its pretty consistant so i'll go with 'snapes worst memory' It could have been more than it was and only got half the message across. I'm sure it will show up in full in DH though.

It means I will hate anybody, who is against Yates coming back for making one more Potter movie. The guy knows his stuff, what isn't sureprising after watching Harry Potter 5.
Lol - Cinemaman, the boards just wouldn't be the same without your crazy passion for the stuff you like. You can forget about being a hater, 'cause Yates is doing Half Blood Prince.

:mad::up::D

That's why I am Cinemaman (maybe I should start making my own comic book, lol). BTW, did you like HP5? :)

I just came back from the movie and I enjoyed myself very well. This is, in my opinion, the best Potter film yet. I can't wait to see HBP. I'll give this one a 8/10.
