For the Emma lovers. I know you're out here somewhere:

Though they like to dress her up on 'grown up' clothes she still has a very young looking face.

Well, here's my two cents. Emma Watson is hotter than Catherine Zeta-Jones. Right now, at least. Catherine used to be hot but now she just looks...well, put it this way, after Mike Douglas has had that would you still want a piece? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Are you telling me that a woman is no longer hot just because she slept with Michael Douglas and had his children? Damn it man, I don't care who Jones is with, she's leagues hotter than any actress half her age, including overblown wannabes like Watson.

guys, If you want to disscus the Book 7, here is the thread:

http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=274946

weird nobody has posted there yet. I thought the most of you were fans of the books too and not only of the movies.

I am a fan of the books soooooo much more then the movies, but I have given my thoughts on wh\t I think will happen in book 7 so many times, I am starting to think it's actually my own life on the line.

I complain about Miss Watson a lot you might think, but that's really fun and she gives me a lot to throw at her.

Like making fun of the Star Wars prequels.

OtepApe and Dr. Fate, I think one of the reasons that you don't like Emma Watson is that she doesn't fit your interpretation of what Hermione is and what she represents. I think she's getting better with each movie, but to each his own.

On a slightly off-topic note, I saw 28 Weeks Later last night and today while re-reading the "The House of Gaunt" chapter in HBP, a great candidate came to me who'd be great at playing Merope: Catherine McCormack. She's too old for the role, but she does meekness and the type of screaming required for Merope very well. She'd be even more ideal for Narcissa too.

Emma Watson is hot and it doesn't hurt to have something nice to look at in a movie. You people wanting an uglier Hermione are idiotic!?!?!?!?!

That would work better as an insult if you didn't include the question marks.

Well after Fantastic Four...Harry Potter will be my next big movie to look forward to.

You're right about we think she doesn't fit THE Hermione from the books. She doesn't. BUT if she was something of a capable actress, then I am sure I wouldn't mind her as much.

Ron Weasley. A character that has been shafted big time by the movies, I know this, I don't like it. However I (just me, Fate dislikes him) think he's a fine actor, does very well with what he's been given and has a great comedic timing.

It's not not always about the character, sometimes it's about the actor behind the character. To me, Watson isn't any good, that's why i don't like her.

Ok, first off let me say that I don't think Emma Watson is hot. She's kinda cute in an average sort of way. You can walk outside your doorstep and see a number of girls better looking. She merely gets more attention placed on her because she's famous and is invloved in a huge movie franchise.

Why is it idiotic to want a Hermione faithful to the books??? That's not nuts, that's being a fan of the source material. Just because we think with our brains and not our d*cks, doesn't mean we display idiotic behaviour.

I personally read with my d*ck...it makes a good bookmark:dry: Just don't slam the book shut. The books are great and movie Hermione isn't true that is for sure...but the movies are way different. They have to play to all of our senses. I personally love the idea of a beautiful girl that is a complete nerd and can't get a man because of her off putting sense of self...it is truly ironic and it works for the movie. I just love how Harry and Ron give her a truly bad time.

I am truly sick of this discussion of how faithful Hermione is, as well as the faithfulness of the material in general. Find something else to talk about.

A book is a book and a movie is a movie, two COMPLETELY different things.

Why it's an unwritten rule when making a film of something pre-existing that you have to "stay true" to the source material I do not understand, as a film is an interpretation of the source material, not the soruce material itself. If I wanted to go to the cinema and see a 100% faithful Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I'd sit in the audience and read the book.

As much as I loved Sin City, or whatever, reading a book and then seeing THE EXACT same thing on screen seems like a waste of time to me
