The same director is doing Half Blood Prince but why not this one looks even better then GOF. This guy isn't afraid to use magic cgi stuff while 34 had some but not so much.

I was a harry/hermoines shipper for a while but now i like Ron and Hermoine for rupert/emma have better acting chemistry if you ask me.

I agree Emma is good.

I love Ridley Scott, he'd do great. As for Burton, he's one of my favorite directors but I wouldn't want him to direct it because his film would be way too dark and very distinct from the other 6.

But like Darkly said, I believe Yates is confirmed for Year 6 as well.

If Burton directed a Potter movie...better believe Depp would be in itt: Who could Depp play in Half Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows?t:

Nah...
He'd keep Rickman.
He's already worked with Gambon, Richardson, and Griffiths before.
Depp could make a neat Scrimgeour, though.

Yeah. He's the new Minister of Magic in the Sixth book. Walken would be pretty awesome too, but I've heard him use an English accent in a movie before.

I do miss Harris as Dumbledore, but I think Gambon is an alright substitute. When I first saw him though I wasn't too impressed, but he's grown on me from the prior films.

Well, there are only two posters here that are constantly bashing her. The rest of us think she is a good actress.

I don't like Scott for a Potter movie. Awesome director, awesome. However, I don't think his style of directing would best suit the feel of Potter.

Oh and there will be no American actor playing a British character in the Potter movies. So people like Walken and Depp wouldn't be in them, no matter who was directing.

Remember, Speilberg was going to do a Potter movie and he wanted Hayley Joel Osmond as Harry. That idea soon got sqaushed and that is a director of Speilberg's level.

In a perfect world that guy would be played by walken. He just has that evil, but classy vampire look the way the guy is described. Every line I read I was thinking about it in Walken-speak.

Tim Burton better stay 100 miles away from any Potter film. He is a good director and all, but he would stretch the magic thing into weird stuff. I like how they have a nice balance between fantasy and reality.
