Free hulk goodie bag??
i want one!!

maybe tonight...
You need a voucher that was printed in the News Of The World newspaper on sunday and you have to be in th UK. But even if u don't have the voucher i'm sure they will give you one if u ask nicely.

i meant maybe i'll get a hulk goodie bag at the advanced screening tonight.

the only way to describe tonight is a cluster****.

so browncoat and i get to the theater for the Hulk screening...and we're waiting in line...then the manager comes out and says that everyone in line needed to leave because the theater was filled. apparently a very ****ty local radiostation had gotten their hands on a mess of passes for the screening and gave them out today...so everyone that had gotten their passes over a week ago got the shaft and couldn't see the movie.

however, the general manager of the theater was there to see the movie. she wasn't working. she was casually dressed and was with her family. which makes me think, i bet employees of the theater are prohibited from taking part in those kind of events. something i need to look into.

it was a total ******** night and i walked out of the theater before i started to tear that place apart.

Man, I would have gotten some friggin food after that.

lmfao i just saw the bk promotional trailer for hulk the expression on hulks face is priceless lol.

I used to manage a movie theater, and though employees can see movies for free, we would usually restrict them from screenings that had the opportunity to sell out. That would be one less seat that a paying customer could have. Of course the employee could pay like everyone else..or just wait until after opening weekend.
But employees that really wanted to see a movie could usually watch it when we ran a test screening after the public went home the night before release..which was just to make sure there were no issues with the print. There's nothing like having a house full of paying customers on opening night of a movie, and something goes wrong. Talk about fearing for your life!! :wow:

i have the newspaper clipping where i originally found out about the advanced screening and it says "Employees of all promotional partners and their agencies are not eligible."

Time to write a letter.

well, that just stinks. They should have given you free passes to a movie or something for getting shafted like that.

they wouldn't give us passes because they said if they gave out free passes it would hurt the theater.

I would have been pissed beyond reason! Did you throw a fit? Did you make a scene? Did you ask to speak to bosses? Did you threaten lawsuits? If you cause enough of a scene sometimes people will do anything just to make you shut up. I've done it many times. You should definitely call the theater company and pitch a fit and see what you can get out of it.

If that doesn't work, a Molotov cocktail can cause all sorts of damage. The trick is to put a little dish soap in it. Just make sure you have a good alibi and plausible deniability.

oh i'll have my revenge. in the newspaper it said employees are not eligible. that general manager was there for the movie. i hope she enjoyed it...because she won't be working there much longer. and if she doesn't lose her job, i can also do the molotov cocktail thing.

You'd think they'd realize that Hulk fans can be crazy. Our favorite superhero is a big ball of rage, there's probably something wrong with all of us.

they have no idea what destruction they were bringing upon themselves by turning me away.

That's F####### B#######! I'd be mad as hell and never go back to that theater. They should know how much seating they have. Better yet, talk to the owner, tell them the story and get some free tickets out of this, or plan A them.

On another note at least we see that people want to see the film.

I keep picturing these geeks at the movie theatre threatening ushers with violence. :p

geeks?

welcome to my ignore list.

I think he was kidding.

But what's even more funny, is that I think the majority of people have a big misconception about posters on these types of boards. Personally, I am far from geekish but I do have my fanboy moments.

Dude, that sucks balls. You should call the theater chain district manager tomorrow, and at least get a free viewing of Hulk.

Well, you ARE on a superhero message board. You can't be TOO far from geekish. :yay:

But I know what you mean. I consider myself a pretty cool guy. I can function in society. I don't lose my mind around a pretty girl. I don't wear kilts and talk with a fake Scottish accent wherever I go. This all may just be a giant delusion though, I might be the geekiest guy in the world. Who knows?

I think the geek sterotype isn't always applicable to all comic/superhero fans. But that stereotype IS accurate just enough to make sure that it doesn't go away completely. Have you ever been to a comic shop? Oh man, wall-to-wall virgins. They looks like geeks, they act like geeks, they ARE geeks. Man, I'm glad I'm not one of those guys.

and who said anything about mere violence?

but anyways...does anyone know any websites to get movie tshirts? after not seeing the movie tonight i went out looking and only found one shirt at a kiosk in the middle of the mall. but then i noticed all of the tags on their shirts have been cut off. it was an official shirt, but that bothered me.

i did get the shield smash hulk though. i'll be getting hulkbusters on friday.

That made me laugh out loud. I like comics and I like movies, especially those about my favorite comic books. I like talking and chatting with you guys about them. More so, I also love women and I like to get my share too. :woot: You seem to be in that same boat too, judging from our other conversation. :cwink:

There is actually fun beyond these boards.
