Days of Future Past The official X-men First Class BD/DVD thread

I just finished watching the children of the atom feature. There does seem to be an interest in continuing from here.

I noticed when watching it on the PS3, it glitches quite a bit for the first 15-20 minutes then it doesn't do it anymore. It's really annoying. (This is after deleting the BD Utility Folder files and all that stuff.)

Anyone know if they plan on fixing this issue? :(

They damn well better, it was super annoying.

Got the Blu Ray and only problem I had with PS3 was BDlive takes awhile to load so it lags to get to the start menu. Had the problem with other discs. After it loads all the BDlive content it starts quick. Disabling your internet on PS3 bypasses this. Solid disc, looks great and audio is awesome.

Deadpool seems to be the only character left out on the Cerebro Mutant tracker thing. Even though hes not a mutant in the comics I thought the omega jumping and sword skills when hes Wade Wilson in XMOW would have made him one.

Also never payed attention that Spike/Quill guy in X3 was supposed to be Kid Omega. WTF? They really didnt give a **** with names did they.

Nope. Brett Ratner said that he looked through the X-Men edition of the Marvel Encyclopedia and randomly picked characters.

Because it is canon.

Generally people (including producers) seem to be trying to distance themselves from this movie as much as possible, with good reason. Interviews with cast and directors have also put strong focus on the first two X-Men films and conspicuously leave out the other two. LSD in particular has been adamant that Wolverine 2 is meant to be "its own thing" and without ties to XOW. Make no mistake, despite being financial successes no one is kidding themselves about which X-Men movies were good and which ones they'd rather forget.

For Deapool to be an X-Men related film you have to ignore Wolverine.Lauren shuller Donner has said as far as they are concerned Emma In wolverine was not Emma frost.

Any connection to past X-Men films In First Class sequels will probally just be X-men and X2.Now they may not be so obvious about it and have characters like Gambit,Blob, and Angel appear and outright say Last Stand and wolverine aren't cannon.

With X4 looking more and more unlikely It's up to fans to view rather they want to view The Last Stand with other films. However they are doing all they can to distance themselves from X-Men Origins:Wolverine.

Wow, Cant believe he would even admit to that. He Could have at least done his homework and found names with similar powers.

Yet Blu Ray features specifically connect X-Men: First Class to the timeline of the other movies officially, including X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I saw x-men in the theatres 3 times and i never realized til I got this on blu ray that Moira's first shot hits Magneto in the helmet. I always thought he blocked them all.

Which is bizarre. Two blond mutants with diamond form abilities named Emma is stretching the notion of coincidence.

Got my bluray copy at Best Buy and there are 40 million stickers on the front of it :cmad:

I realize that but that Is easy way for her not to comeout and say we are completly
Ignoring X-Men Origins:Wolverine.

And you need more than Blu-Ray special features Interactive feature. This was done most likely by studio wanting feature on various mutants not by anyone associated
with the film.X-Men origins:Wolverine Isn't referenced once In the BTS features. And
they primarly refence X-men and X2 there.

donner has made it clear they are going out of their way to distance The wolverine from
X-Men Origins:Wolverine.

In my mind, I imagine Emma from Wolverine to be the daughter of Emma Frost from First Class.

Frost passed on her mind-control power to Kayla, and her diamond power to Emma junior.

Obviously, Kayla's mind powers aren't exactly the same - it was tactile hypnosis requiring body contact - but it's close enough and the science of heredity is complex enough for that to seem plausible.

Somebody needs to make a GIF of Fassbender dancing in the behind the scenes costume segment.

Ugh the wait until October 31st is gonna kill me. How is the picture and audio quality of the Blu Ray?

I am loving the bluray. The Cerebro thing is awesome. Anyone find any hidden easter eggs or anything?

Mine has a glitch. :c
The runtime menu at the bottom pops up twice in the movie. What should I do? :csad:

that sucks. return it to the store. usually they wont charge a open box fee if you exchange it for the same thing.

Just watched the Blu-Ray.

I saw this twice in theaters back in early June.... Man, I forgot how damn enjoyable it was. And I have to say, I enjoyed it maybe more this time. I had some VERY bad crowds both times I saw it. I just really dug it this time around, more so than last time. It's a lot like X2: X-men United in some respects, but at the same time, vastly different...but still convincingly in the same world. It's NARROWLY behind X2, for me, as the best X-men film.

The running time SPEEDS by. The only character I really don't like is Havok. I just don't like Till as an actor, he comes across more like a ***** than as a believable tough guy. Constantly with the cut-off sleeves, when he's actually a skinny guy, hunching over when we first meet him trying to flex in the cell, etc.... I just didn't and still don't care for him or his delivery of most lines....

The rest of the cast...I love. Mainly Fassbender and McAvoy. Just brilliant, brilliant stuff here. Oliver Platt is likable, Byrne, Holt and Caleb Jones are all really great with what they have. I found myself really liking Jones in his exchanges with Erik and Hank in terms of his flight training...funny stuff. I also liked Gathegi as Darwin. This is a character in the comics I couldn't care less about, but I liked his character in this film...honorable and courageous. Of course, Bacon was great as well.

I also love that this movie (aside from Cyclops shooting skeet in X-men) we see the students actually being TRAINED by Xavier and taught about their powers (not in a classroom). It was great stuff, however brief. Because at it's heart, that was always one of the most interesting parts of the X-men Books was seeing these kids deal with and learn to control their powers....

And the ending...the SCORE (the Score is AMAZING) just jacks me up to 10 for a sequel with the X-men squaring off against the brotherhood and the conflict that causes in Xavier going against his old friend. Maybe it's time to see some sentinels introduced?

So many possibilities. It could take place in the late 60's, early 70's, or mid-to-late 70s and introduce Cyclops and Jean Grey....

I can't wait.

That's a good way to think about it.

So i can see X-Men Origins:Deadpool when it comes I am just pretending X-men Origins:Wolverine never happened.Both can't be considered part of X-Men series.You
could flashforward through the entire Xavier walking and finding Cyclops and other
mutants If you want to still view It with other films I guess.
