After how it all just went with Thor, I'm not holding my breath for anything on the RT.

With all due respect to Thor because I did enjoy it, not even from the beginning was it getting this level of glowing reviews like First Class is.

You guys are right, but honestly about 25 reviews in, how far could it possibly drop. I mean have the people that could the people that have reviewed it really be that off base?

Then again we do have our Armond Whites...

About 35 reviews in, actually. :)

How many of those 35 are actual RT members and thus count?

There are 15 so far on the page...

I've been reading this Thor RTT situation a lot, how long did "Thor" actually stayed on 100%?

I don't remember but it stayed in the 90%'s well until it had 70+ reviews logged in on RT. Then it dropped. That is very, very unusual to go that long before dropping but it's made me more cautious about upcoming films getting high initial scores vis-a-vie how they'll ultimately end up.

My point was that if not all of those 35 are RT members then they'll count for nothing, essentially(the one's that aren't).

Thor started dropping when it opened in the U.S and the U.S. critics weighed in. It opened a week or 2 earlier overseas.

So I agree. The bottom could fall out next week. But it's good while it's lasting.:yay:

I can already picture people freaking out here + ten pages of angry comments when the first rotten review appears. :p

Since White is a given, I bet that NYT's A.O. Scott will definitely be one of the critics who will rob from First Class its perfect 100%. So yeah, I'm enjoying it while I can! :)

I dunno. I've seen scores in the 8 range for movies I hate and scores in the 6 range for movies I love. But then I've seen some 50% range films that I'd rank way above some that ended up in the 90% range.
The RT average rating (rather than Tomatometer) is a good guage for critical response. It's quite normal that you or anyone else would disagree with the critical consensus from time to time (or even often). :yay:

Thor's average rating was low (relative to it's very high Tomatometer at the time) from the beginning which always suggested that some negative reviews would come out at some stage.

High 90's and I mean high nineties are still plausible. ;)

It'd be hilarious is Armond White does give it a positive. X-Men:FC is about all the things he decries movies of not having. We'll see.

Armond may dig the civil rights angle, than again that may the straw that breaks his back seeing as how neither magneto or Xavier are black.

That and
the only black guy in the film dies.

that said, if armond doesn't hate it, I will eat my shorts on live tv

I have a problem with that myself.

I mean,
the only good mutant who dies is black?

Yeah, you would think they would have realized that and decided against it since it's pretty in your face.
