Miller loves Superman and DC.

Matthew Vaughn has said that he wants to do a Superman movie and the 3 comic book movies he's done so far have been pretty good.

So.....

Miller for Justice League
Vaughn for Superman solo

:woot:
Good choices.Although I'm not sure Miller loves Supes heard he said he was boring.

I'll throw in Matt reeves and Duncan jones in for good measure.

ALFRED: You want to sack Zack Snyder?

BRUCE: He's the one that sacked us three years ago! Jesus, count the rotten scores. Thousands of bad reviews. What's next? Millions? He has the power to wipe out the popularity of DC's most beloved characters on the big screen and if we believe that there's even an 30's to 40's percent chance on RT then we have to take it as a ABSOLUTE!

ALFRED: But he is not our enemy!

BRUCE: Not on days when he releases well edited trailers with brand new footage. But 4 years since "Man of Steel" went into production, we've seen what his promises and interviews are worth. How many good posters are left after his last two DCEU films? How many stayed that way?

Fool Me Once...Shame on You.

Fool Me Twice...Shame on Me.

Well, IF Snyder still ends up directing JL as originally planned, then at least all of us now know to keep our expectations checked and won't allow impressive footage from well crafted trailers to blind our perceptions.

Though I think I'll definitely decide not to visit these boards during the week that the critics's reviews come out because seeing that and mostly everyone's depressing views on this film makes me so depressed and has taken away the hype that I was trying to build back up after learning about certain spoilers.

well crafted trailers?.. are you joking? The 2nd TDK trailer was a well crafted trailer my friend. The promos for this film have all been complete and utter garbage. I haven't been on these boards for years but it sure reeks of fanboy patriotism..

As much as I'm on board with ****ting on Snyder, my experience in the industry tells me to first blame the studio execs, then producers, then writers. In that order.

Though Snyder never had a great handle on pacing or performances, I guarantee you this film was highly 'supervised'; don't kid yourselves, Snyder was not left to his own devices. I can't imagine how many notes in post and restructuring and chopping out scenes the studio demanded, diluting and warping the already poorly written story and characters. Story wise, mind you, MoS had a strong handful of ghost writers. I know one of them. There is not a singular voice to these films anymore. Superhero franchises are among the last remaining things that can reel in big money for studios, so they mitigate 'risk' through never ending committee-driven decisions, resulting in lifeless and anodyne end products. The folks that run the studios now are no longer filmmakers.. they're the jocks from high school. They're the business bros and party snobs. They don't care about art. They don't fantasize about a good movie. They fantasize about numbers. And they make all the important decisions.

At least Nolan was smart and had the studio by the balls - as much as any modern-day director could dream of anyway

Can anyone skilled in photoshop make Sack Snyder avatars and banners? I would like to rock them.

I wouldn't blame Snyder, no matter who was directing Batman v Superman would have presumebly been forced to add the marketing campaigns to future DC movies.

It really is the same situation as IM2 and AoU.

But the JL moments weren't the main problems with the film

Times ten, apparently.

RT: Never start with an opening spoiler warning, the audience gets all weird. They can't understand what's-

Long, glaring pause

RT: See?

Snyder: You wanted me. Here I am.

RT: I wanted to see what you'd do...and you didn't disappoint. You left 3 movies out to rotten. Then you let Batman v Superman out to rotten. Even to a guy like me, that's cold.

Snyder: Why isn't it fresh?

RT: Those fanboy fools want you sacked so they can get back to the way things were. But I know the truth: there's no going back. You've changed things. Forever.

Snyder: Then why do you want me sacked?

The RT starts laughing. After a moment he's laughing so hard it sounds like sobbing.

RT: Sack you? I don't want WB to sack you! What would I do without you? Go back to crapping on generic movies? No. No. No! No you- you complete me.

Snyder: You're garbage who reviews for money.

RT: Don't talk like one of them, you're not. Even if you'd like to be. To them, you're just a troll. Like me. They just need you right now.

But when they don't...they'll cast you out. Like a leper.

You see, their movie-tastes, their opinions; it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down these, uh, civilized audiences? They'll eat each other. See I'm not a monster, I'm just ahead of the curve.

This is interesting to hear. Did your friend shed any light on what he wrote for MoS?

trust in zack!!!

can't believe it the result of the poll. what have happened!!!???

it is the movie we deserve!!! what's wrong with you guys???

They we're for me.

Not for me. I mean, atleast Batman was awesome, Superman's story was sad and Lex Luthor was a kick-ass villain, until the last scene which sort of ruined him.

In what way?

Matthew Vaughn would be great unlike Snyder he knows to drop in levity

look at first class he can do such a serious tense scene like this
[YT]XY2eW2cXcNg[/YT]

yet also do this
[YT]gzYrThX4yl0[/YT]

all in the same movie in x men first class he had a serious revenge story but also brought a sense of fun and heroics in the midst of it all

In what way?

What I disliked about Lex?

His last scene is literally warning the heroes, that someone is coming from space. Which for a comic book nerd is an implication of Darkseid, which makes me question:

1) Did Lex always know about Darkseid and was he a pawn from the beginning?

2) Did he learn about Darkseid through the Kryptonian war technology and then decided that it was a good idea to call Darkseid?

What I liked about him? Well all actors gave a good performance and Lex surely comes off as a sociopath.

wondering those voted the opposite, have they really 'watched' the movie.
