BvS The Official Zack Snyder Directs Everything Thread - Part 1

I think with guys like Gilroy it depends on the overall package. If WB would offer him to finance his own movie after he's done with JL... Probably would be the same with Stone. Personally I'd love Liman but he already signed with Fox to direct Gambit.

That movie doesn't seem to be going anywhere, so you never know.

What about Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)?

WB might look closely at Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman to see if any of those Directors could serve as a replacement for Zack Snyder. Anyway, what about David Yates? All his Harry Potter film have been successful comercialy and criticaly.

As for other options, people have suggested George Miller a lot, not sure he would accept the chalenge now.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the film, but wow... That bad where people want Snyder out? I keep reading in reviews how he can't tell a story. As much money as this movie may make, do you really want someone who "can't tell a story" directing movies of that magnitude?

This movie was much better made than MoS. I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more... But Snyder does not understand Superman, and surprisingly, even Batman.

Some weird **** goes down in this movie, man.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the film, but wow... That bad where people want Snyder out?

Fans don't like to see the characters getting crapped on by critics and it's not like every storytelling choice in the film is 100% defensible either. If that was the case Snyder would have more support.

I haven't seen it yet so I should wait and see if he fooled us. I liked MOS bit there were problems.... It sux that I hoped he'd learn from them yet it seems he still cant tell a good story.

I loved MOS and I have yet to see BvS. But I still voted "sack Snyder." I'm just sick of divisive (or in this case panned) DC movies. Something has to change. Maybe I'll be singing a different tune after I watch the movie later today, but even if I love it, I still think I want to see someone else take the helm who can make a movie that doesn't leave half the audience pissed off. The cast is there. I think Cavill is a great Superman and I've heard mostly good things about Affleck and Gadot. Jason Momoa is good. Ezra Miller is a great actor. Ray Fisher is an accomplished stage actor and hopefully that will translate well to film. Time to find someone who can use them all the right way.
