BvS The Official Zack Snyder Directs Everything Thread - Part 4

Pandering is the wrong way to look at it. A vast majority of people now have a distaste for the DCEU and there simply is no reason to settle for that.

I liked BvS, but I have to concede Zack is clearly not the best man for the job for the simple fact the fan base is more divided than ever. I actually want to enjoy my time anticipating all these films. If the post-BvS experience is any indication, it will be a miserable time anywhere you go.
so you bother me the most. ha. :D
i actually loving the post BvS experience...
never ending debate, fight night. so much more to talk about, so many to look for, even after 2 + months. :D

We would absolutely have a DC cinematic universe even if Snyder weren't in the picture. That's not even up for debate. It actually would be a lot better if he wasn't.
"You know the oldest lie in America Flint Marko, that the average person has even average intelligence."

what bothers me the most is those who LIKED BvS but still want Zack Snyder to be sacked to pander to critics and haters. without him, we probably would not even have a DC cinematic universe for starters. this kind of thign is disgusting, shameful and says a lot about the DC Comics fans...

those who hated BvS don't bother me at all... i won't feed them. waste of energy.
I think we would. But if we never got a DCEU, my life wouldn't change a bit. I never wanted this.

If WB announced tomorrow that they were canning the entire DCU I wouldn't sad. Sounds terrible but it's true

At this stage I'm more concerned about the damage that's being done to the characters by the people in charge.

I don't think many people would be sad.

Those are the adjectives you want to use?

you guys will never appreciate and understand how lucky we are with him in DCEU.

he has given all his heart & soul on it...

Pity he didn't put any quality or intelligence into it.

Are you certain you are not Zack Snyder?

So do those snippets of footage in the ultimate trailer undo the Martha crap?
Do they undo one of the worst comic book villains of all time?
Does it undo the mopey crap superman? (No, infact it looks like it adds to it)
Does it undo the crappy filters and cartoony CGI?
Does it undo the wasted and rushed death of Superman?
Does it undo Batman's mindless violence?
Does it undo the hammy acting from Cavill and Eisenberg in several scenes?
Does it undo the damage the final product did to the DCU?
Does it undo the poor box office?
Does it undo the poor reception?

The answers to each are no, it'll be a poor film with extra footage added, to at best pad out Supermans character and make it slightly less of a poor film.

sf2. We'd be lucky if we had a filmmaker who didn't sacrifice worthwhile character building scenes for crappy sequences with nothing more than fancy visuals. We'd be lucky if we had a director who can direct his actors and tell a coherent story, a director who learns from his mistakes and doesn't arrogantly double down in the things people hated from his previous film because he thinks he knows best. Zack Snyder is none of these things and has probably done irreparable damage to the DCU, we're very UNLUCKY he hasn't been canned before he can sink the ship all together.

The fact that there was 3 to 4 hours of film shot and Zack couldn't condense his vision to a normal 2 to 2 and a half hour film is bad enough. They then edit the crap out of it to give us the mess of the theatrical cut. Now we get an extended R rated extended cut. Bad decisions all around. I just can't understand why footage that would be rated R was ever shot for a film involving Superman in the first place.

You and me both mate. No idea what goes through their heads.

People keeps on miss interpreting the 4 hour cut of the film. That was the first cut! This is when they put all of the footage in. Most of these big films are up to 4 hours on their first cut.

Oh wow a Zack Snyder movie trailer is good *gasp* what a shock, oh please as if we haven't seen this over and over again. When it comes to the content and structure of his film it will be a different story. Fool me once and all that, still not pumped for anything this man churns out and I still want him away from DC properties.

This page.....facepalm x one million.

"Devils don't come from the director's chair, no, they come from the web"
lol... they are so quotable and fun.

It's not 1938 anymore, guys. Apples don't cost a nickle. WPA ain't hiring no more. Not in here, not out there! Nobody cares about the cyber-whiners taking on theprofessional.

:D just for fun. so that we can smile more.

But.....are they smiling because they see something humorous....or is it the nervous smile you put on as you scan the room for the quickest exit to escape before the crazed psychopath kills everyone in the room.
