He would be good but Cavill and Trucco are better.

I was never a fan of Cavill's for the part. Trucco seems like he'd be OK. I just think this time if they re cast they'll go with someone who has bit more star power.

Yeah..he is a great actor, better than Routh for sure and looks a lot like Superman while looking totally different from Reeve. That perfume add is pure Superman walking...

Not that I want him as Supes as its already to late but so far no one posted beats Welling in the Superman-ish look in terms of facial and physical stature. Welling not only looks good but he also has that solid frame.

^I disagree. Welling's lack of acting ability kills him for me.

Welling looks like a horse.

There's nothing in the comics that show any resemblance to Welling. Cavill and Bomer look more like the traditional Supes than he does.

I'd love to one day see Kingdom Come on the big screen one day, but not until after they are done with a trilogy of Superman films, and with Nolan's Batman films.

I too was thinking about Brolin as Superman the other day if they ever did Kingdom. He'd be great!

This might sound odd, but he actually reminds me more of Captain Marvel.

SuperDan, I am now officially on board the Cavill train thanks to the Dunhill ad you posted. Someone get that guy (Cavill) a personal trainer stat. I still think Anne Hathaway would make for the perfect Lois.

Cavill was not a favorite of mine back in the pre-SR heyday because he didn't really look manly enough to me. But since then, I've been shocked at how much more he's matured. He has the exact kind of chiseled facial features that Superman needs, and Warner Bros. would probably be comfortable with him since he's still young and therefore is "franchise material" (which unfortunately, is why Trucco is unlikely to get the role).

I like the idea of Hathaway as Lois, and I'd never really thought of it before... However, my fear with her is that she wouldn't be "spunky" enough to be Lois, which was why I absolutely loathed Kate Bosworth as Lois despite how cute she is. Lois without spunk is like Batman without angst.
