Posh has stated in many interviews it made their marriage stronger and Loos has never been punished in court for it so make of that what you will. An affairs as the England captain is an affair at the end of the day, both don't set the right image.

On a personal level I can agree it is bad, but it should never have lost him the captaincy anymore than Beckham should have (lets not forget that papers had to later withdraw the story and apologise to them both).
Players don't have to like each other off the pitch, many of the most successful guys haven't seen eye to eye (such as Sheringham and Andy Cole).

I've never heard her confirm anything, she could be talking about the trauma of the situation and accusations brought them closer, however that's beside the point, Terry wasn't stripped because he cheated on his wife, he'd done that several times already. He was stripped because he screwed over his teammate which caused a split in the camp.

When you are leader of a team, no matter if you are an ******* in general, that team has to trust you and rally behind you, you can't lead when you do the dirty on the men who follow you.

The funniest bit about this isn't the Terry having an affair with Torres wife, it's the side bar that says "Allardyce arrested for trespassing at Santiago Bernabeau" :funny:

In regards to John Terry, I'd just like to say that he shouldn't have been reinstated as England captain for the simple fact that he isn't fit to lead any team.

A captain is someone that any player should go to about concerns or problems with a coach, manager, another player.. heck even an outside 'work' problem... but how could you go to a player like John Terry who has shown how trustworthy he is by banging another players wife/girlfriend which he completely knew about.. disrespectful not only to his own wife buy to his teamates.

Manchester United parent firm report £108.9m losses

A large portion of this lose though is a result of the Glazer's paying off the PIK loans which had those crippling interest payments which were slowly dragging the clubs profits down.

Even though those PIK payments are gone there are still other interest payments to pay, however with that in mind so long as the clubs merchandise, TV money & cup/league payments continue to flow in it actually looks as if they might be able to have their loans payed off when required without the club entering any sort of drastic measures in regards to selling Old Trafford, players, cutting costs etc.

From what I gather in this article it also mentions that David Gill & a 'source' apparently both confirm that Sir Alex Ferguson has access to £165m in funds & while even though nobody is claiming he will spend £165m this summer, he does plan to replace some key ageing players & it won't come cheap.. but if he wishes to spend say £100m that the funds are undoubtably there for him to do so..

Interesting...

If accurate... :O

John Terry - his dad's a drug dealer, his mum's a shoplifter, his brother had an affair with a team-mates wife (hmm, sounds familiar) which led to the teammate committing suicide; and then you've got the man himself, well, what can we say about him that already hasnt been said?

He's just a bad apple rotten to the core; real England captain material, eh?

I think we all know that Terry's going to **ck up again. It's pretty much inevitable as it's seemingly in his genes.
Hahaha this is awesome, they are a family full of ****s....
dont forget terrys mum shagged carras brother
just like to remind everyone that happened at world cup 06
I dont remember this, did this happen in the 2006 world cup. Must have somehow flown over my head??

About half of that, if we make a couple of sales, should be all we need.

We have made a signing though.

Manchester United swoop for Chile starlet

Sadly it is not that Chilean, but 16 year old striker Angelo Henriquez.

I doubt very much it had caused a huge split in the camp, your telling me their fine to play with him as long as he isn't captain? Surely if it had caused such a huge stir he'd have been dropped just as Howard Wilkinson sold Eric Cantona after he'd had it off with Leslie Ash back in '92 or Roy Keane vs Mick McCarthy in '02. If it was that detrimental to the team there is no way in hell, Cappello or the FA would've kept him. Their hand was forced due to the public outcry and what the fans were saying.
Trusting a man on the pitch with the job in hand and trusting him off it are two completely different things here, Teddy Sheringham hated Andy Cole, Viduka hated Kewell but on the pitch but if you ask either one they'd happily play with the same blokes again.

Anyway my main point isn't debating what the t*** has or hasn't done, it's that if we went through the England squad we'd find an array of allegations and stories that far outweigh what Terry and Cole have done, yet England fans seem to have nowhere near the same problem with other players as they do the Chelsea duo.

Thats because they are the biggest ****s out of a selection of other ****s....:woot:

Those were totally different situations, and the hand wasn't forced to remove Terry completely because Bridge refused to play for England after the story broke. There was no rift between Capello and Terry so he wasn't gonna remove his senior defender, and the players were in a position where the WC was so close that any further action after the manager had made his call was only going to make matters worse, so they sucked it up, but the man should never have been made captain again.

I look at that current squad and I don't see anyone in the list that is even half the scumbag Terry and Cole are, nor have any of them done anything half as bad.

Haha :woot: at least you're honest!

What are you making of promotion this season? We keep on blowing it but luckily the teams below us do aswell, I worry about our home games against Burnley and Reading. I think Snoddy and some others need a rest but we haven't got the squad (or maybe the manager) to really change things around. The only good thing I can think of is that Billy Paynter is banned for 3 games!

Fair play to him, he deserves a shot #1 somewhere.

He was great for Bremen, not sure how he's played for Wolfsburg.

Scored some good goals in the Europa League last season.

De Rossi is more a Keane than a Scholes.

£10M seems a fair price.

Jarvis has given United problems each time we have played Wolves this season.

id quite like baines, and considering he is a red could probably push a move through, wouldnt be surprised if we got him

Talking about Baines with a Bluenose in work today who was insistant that there was no chance that Baines would move as he was a boyhood blue???

boyhood (and still from what i have heard) red - so unlikely they will want to sell but he could force it through

Agree completely. Even now he's still insisting the original decision to remove him was completely wrong. No mate it was what you did that was completely wrong.

Baines is one of the best leftbacks going, in my opinion. Consistent would be a very suitable term.

''Lucas, the people who previously used to slate you no end are finally starting to see what you bring to the table''.

>Spidey's avatar<

''So what, they shouldve give me their support from the beginning''.

Baines is 4th on this season's assist chart for the PL which is excellent for a fullback.

can proudly say ive been a massive fan of his for a loooong time :D

You and me both mate.

It's been a struggle to be a Lucas fan as there have been [and still are] some absolute beauts who slate him and say he's not very good but, as I've said it till I'm blue in the face many a time, you dont get to be Brazilian player of the year by being useless.

No one will deny that the lad's not a natural defensive midfielder [and probably never will be] but apparently to some that's his fault. I think when you look at it, he's done pretty well considering that he signed for a club in a new country, was told to play a position that was totally alien to him while at the same time adjusting to a different culture, yet we had ****heads slating him and making no allowances for the circumstances.

Now he's a mainstay in the team on merit those same ****heads are too stubborn to admit they were wrong and keep clinging to the 'he's not Liverpool standard' B.S.

I ****ing love the guy. He does a job and just gets on with it with the minimum of fuss and fanfare. Never gives up and gets clattered from pillar to post but comes back for more. And you could see from the goal celebrations against Sunderland just how much the other players love him too.
